To celebrate Skyrim 10th Anniversary, the old 2017 trailer is back! With a new song to play along! Until I make a proper final video about the mod, that is.
The next update, if any, will be renamed and redesigned.
Been using this for awhile and im loving it. I do have another question though. awhile back i had a mod installed called Boethiah's Bidding. i just noticed now that its been deleted off Nexus. Anyone know of where i can find another copy of it? I always do Boethiah's quests after or near the end of the Civil War on the Imperial Side.
Hey! Will there be a new update of the mod, or is it not worth waiting for? And if it's not difficult, can you tell me how to start the battle for Fort Greymoor?
Fort Greymoor is in Whiterun hold, so there is no battle for it. Fort Greenwall is in Rift. The cue line is "Reporting in." when talking to Rikke/Galmar in the military camp. If the line is missing, the quest failed to start, for example, failed some alias to fill.
As for your other question, only I can tell is that I don't consider abandoning Skyrim Classic over Skyrim SE/AE
I see that the mod description says Fort invasions and Civil War missions are optional. I'm playing with the version with Linear OCW, and I want to try and conquer everything on the map. But I'm not quite sure how to trigger these optional missions. (i.e. Reclaiming the remains of Helgen from Bandits)
It refers to missions and fort battles that are part of the original quest line. For example, Rescue from fort Neugrad (not Helgen). The cue line is "Reporting in." when talking to Rikke/Galmar in the military camp. If the line is missing, the quest failed to start, for example, failed some alias to fill.
since the addition of linear OCW I no longer have problems when running this quest, and my suggestion if possible that the linear ocw option be made into a standalone file or maybe an optional file without having to use the console command, good job for author.
edit: I think I really need a separate file from the linear ocw, always having bugs when running the liberated reach quest, again experiencing a bug when trying to run the last mission after completing taking fort Sungard, battle for markarth can't be started and it's quite annoying because it makes the quest is not finished, I think the heavy script greatly affects the running of this mod and it would be better if the city defense mission was removed to reduce the burden of the script.
Could you help me again? I thought and hoped that the "linear" version would render the wargame disabled, but I am still getting holds attacked and even taken back, spent the whole day experimenting with global variables, for example, OCWWargameRiftenVulnerable, and making sure it got changed from 1 to 0 and that it stayed that way, but the wargame kicked in and made me lose that hold (again lol), what do I need to do? If I set OCWLinear which is oddly at 0, to 1, I can no longer activate city battles...
I wrote in changelog "defense battles won't start in Linear OCW; enemy invasions will always fail and can be ignored". I also wrote that it is guarded by "setstage ocwmoot 1". That's because it's not super solid tested, and maybe I made a mistake, possibly I made the change that makes enemy invasions toothless but only in a version of the mod that didn't make it to release, and somehow I didn't caught that.
You could try to change the hold ownership back with judicious use of "setstage mq302test ..." though I understand that it is like cheating, and not quite equivalent to not changing the hold ownership at all.
Thank you for actively replying; 'setstage mq302test 9' helped with recovering Riften from the rogue wargame and unlock the final hold, don't think I could sleep without this lol As for why the wargame is running in the linear version, I would have to run a clean game to help confirming that, since I am mixing mods, activating them and also modifying in mid civil war quest line... Curiosity: And as for my oddities trying to fight both fort and city battles, I came to the realization of that I don't really need to activate the fort quest for storming it, it's not the same thing as an active CWFortSiegeFort but it's pleasant enough and keep the CWFortSiegeCapital working, it's a win win for me!
(issue solved) Thank you for releasing a "linear" version of your mod, I am giving it a new try but with Civil War Extended, which I have been using to fill the void. What was the setStage command to fix Riften again? I can't find it anymore and ran into a similar problem when attacking Markarth. I remember that the fix was for when attempting to enter Riften after breaking through the barricades, when the door wouldn't open... Actually, I got the quest CWSiegeObj running on the defenders side somehow, even though I am attacking, so after 'failing' to defend the barricades and the main gate, I find the doors soft locked by a menu message like 'you need to help defending before entering'
I think that I found out what I did wrong: apparently, starting both fort and city battles for the Rift, but completing the fort before heading to Markarth, seems to have had caused this oddity, because this particular fort is so far apart from the capital, that the script has time to kick in and turn the other quest 'obsolete'
setstage ocwsiegedup 50 - on destroying one of the gate barricades in front of Riften main gate setstage ocwsiegedup 60 - on entering Riften through main gate

anyways, without that oddities
setstage ocwsiegedup 50 - on destroying one of the gate barricades in front of Riften main gate
setstage ocwsiegedup 60 - on entering Riften through main gate
