After replacement Gradual Encumbrance with Cobb Encumbrance i noticed what FPS was increased. It was v1, which didn't work well with Just Sleep mod (weight didn't decrease with high exhausted status). So i use Cobb Encumbrance now.
I write it here not because want to insult author of this modification, but to warn others about problems with this mod (more script-heaveness compare to Cobb Encumbrance and incompatibility with some mods).
The mod doesn't work for me. Settings menus are not saved. After setting up the mod, you just have to close the menu and open it again - as all settings will be at 0. There is no effect in the game itself. I do not know why. I thought that there might be a conflict with some kind of mod that I have installed, but no. I even tested on a vanilla game without mods (only with a quick start). The mod doesn't work.MCM don't work.
Yes. I play an last version oldrim with all official DLC. SKSE latest version. I even started a new game only with this mod and with an alternative start - mcm menu does not work. Entered settings are simply reset to 0,after i close menu. EDIT.I just downloaded old version of mod (1.0) and tested it - everything works fine. In MCM menu, settings are immediately set and character overload works. Something is broken in the latest version. It's amazing that for a whole year no one noticed that the latest version does not work.
endorsed! thanks a lot, just want to report, there is a small visual glicth which changes the maximum carry weight from real value to the value this mod added eg. from 600 to 700 then it changes back in a blink
yeah... fixing that the proper way takes a type of SKSE hook that I don't currently know how to make. The way I do know how to fix it I was worried might have minor gameplay impacts, so I avoided it. But I tried it out just now and no problems showed up in my brief testing. However, it doesn't fully fix the problem, but I think it helps. I've uploaded it as 1.1b. Lemme know if you run into any issues.
I really like this idea! Would it be feasible to also have a (customizable) stamina drain effect while running at maximum penalities in place of the vanilla inability to run, and to only make the player unable to run if they have less stamina than a certain threshold value - similar to expending action points to be able to run while encumbered like in Fallout 4 and 76?
This looks like a cool idea. I've used Cobb Encumbrance before, and while it's neat, it is a bit "heavy" for my liking (no pun intended, lol). Your mod looks just right, though. My mod list for my current run is super heavy right now, though, so I'll probably have to try it on a future run. Looks good, though!

and you're using the last version of oldrim and oldrim SKSE?
