Explosive gas traps (in vanilla) have a base damage of 300. If you use damage multipliers like me, this turns into instant death the moment ignition happens, which feels a bit unrealistic IMO. This mod simply gives optional plugins to lower the damage.

I didn't even know these "explosive gas" areas existed in certain mines (Racen Rock Mine for example) until just recently, as they don't normally get set off, UNLESS you are carrying a lit torch, or have fire magic equipped. In what was apparently my first time carrying a lit flame through Raven Rock Mine, I learned quickly that not only does this flammable, almost invisible gas exist,  but it is also extremely OP,  killing my character instantly each time I walked into it, until I did some research to figure out what I was dealing with, and that it was not a bug but a legitimate "trap" from Bethesda, albeit way too strong, even for one who enjoys hardcore difficulty.  So anyway, long story short I tracked it down in the game files and turned down the damage level for my own game, and then figured I should share on Nexus in case anyone else shares my opinion that this adjustment is needed. 

I created multiple options, you only need to use one of the plugins...
The options are...
75% damage (25% reduction)
50% damage (50% reduction)
25% damage (75% reduction)
10% damage (90% reduction)
5% damage (95% reduction)

Just activate the esp anywhere in your load order.
