This is V2 of my Yautja tech mod, which was my first scripted mod released.
I'm releasing it as a separate file because the first one is heavily outdated, and the new one works under almost completeley different mechanics and scripting. Though technically the goal is the same, the improvements and differences are huge.
I'm hoping this will be the final version of this project.

Details:

Improvements to most of the tech items added by Predators The Lost Tribes

  • Predator masks can cycle vision filters, each mask has a "low" tier in which it only adds 1 mode, up to 3 cycleable modes in MK3 type masks. This is built upon the mechanics of my Vision mod, which is now a CRITICAL requirement.
  • Masks also allow a zoom function and a toggle light function that carries a red light.
  • Cloaking comes in 2 varieties; Cloaking, and Camouflage. Camouflage is weaker, and not true invisibility, while Cloaking is true invisibility
  • Shoulder cannons have been adapted and improved to a mechanic that allows charged shots for increased damage and cost, depending on how long the shout key is held, as well as a rapid fire mod which shoots a barrage of plasma bolts. The charged shots, in stunner and artillery cannons also control area of effect and duration of the shots. Charged shots can increase their impact up to 5 times their base value if fully charged.
  • Shoulder cannons are able to lock on to targets, making sure firing them auto-targets the shots.

The video shows a bit more about how it works, it was a test sequence on Bleak Falls Barrow.

Differences from previous installments:

  • For starters, the original Lost Tribes mod, doesnt allow neither cicleable nor toggleable vision filters for the masks. Predator vision for the original mod, is just a racial power with 60 second duration and a detect life effect.
  • Cloaking also wasnt functional on Lost Tribes, it was just a visual effect coupled with massive boosts to Sneaking skill and Muffle.
  • On the previous version of my own mod, I tried to make the functional cloaking immersive, but I ran into problems since I wanted to have something closer to Assassin's Creed detection system, in which you could stay "undetected" and out of combat most of the times, but combat mode was engaged if the player was detected. This kind of thing is extremely hard to achieve in Skyrim since it doesnt really have a player detection system, but I managed to get close. As a result of the new implemented mechanic, invisibility is now disabled once you enter combat, and you can only regain it by either ending the combat, or going into hiding for long enough for the enemies to start searching for you again. (In the previous, all you had to do was back off for a couple of seconds) Invisibility now does depend on detection, ensuring it's powerful but not too overpowered.
  • Shoulder cannon shots had a fixed damage value, which was often too low to even mean a thing on higher levels, making plasma shots completely useless on tougher enemies. Can't say I've solved this problem on any install, but at least I made the shots a lot more useful and fun.

Requirements:

Dawnguard
Dragonborn
SKSE
Predators The Lost Tribes
Vision

Install:

Load order after Lost Tribes. If you have the Loverslab SOS and other stuff updates, it also goes after those, and is entirely compatible with them.
Might not be compatible with the older version of the mod, since items could be "damaged" in the change of mechanic, and associated scripting. If using the older version of the mod, a clean install is heavily recommended.

FAQ:

Can you make/add/remove X...?
Unlikely. I dont take requests unless they really interest me, or maybe a commision.

I find your mod "wanting", it's not good enough for me and i dont like it.
Good for you.

SE version?
Most of my mods work without problems with Special Edition AFAIK. Probably just need to convert the esp file and that's it.

B-but the Predator lore says...

I dont really care. I like the franchise, and Predator 1 and 2 are still some of my favorite movies of all time, but the "lore" is a retconned mess that has no actual straight "canon" at this point, so I just keep what looks cool to me and go with it. I only made this because playing as an invisible hunter with alien overpowered tech is fun. I got other stuff to do other than this.
My reasons for modding are and always have been, #1 Me, #2 Me and #3 My own amusement. Feel free to agree or disagree, but I dont care.

This mod is overpowered!!
Yeah, I know... Unfortunately, Skyrim has its limitations, and there's little I can do about it. Trying to build a predator gameplay and make it balanced in a game that was never balanced to begin with, is a fool's errand. I try to compensate wit many combat and balance mods, and I have a reasonable setting, but it'll always be far from perfect.
Keep in mind this mod adds new tech and practically allows an entirely new roleplaying class to play Skyrim with, so my best advice is stick to it, and you might enjoy it for what it is, a way to roleplay as a Predator hunter/huntress; but you might have to roleplay the limitations as well or else, it could easily become a cheating and no fun.

Bug report!!!
Are you sure about that?
Before even looking at the bug section, please check, and doble check if your problem is not just something on your end, caused by your install, and your settings on your game. Over 90% of the times people has issues, it's a problem on their end, because either they installed something wrong, have a wrong load order, a missing requirement, or have an incompatible mod overwriting records or messing with the functions.

Does it work with ENBs?
Some ENBs mess with visual filters, and it's not my fault, and I can do nothing about it.
I made no use of any kind of fancy alien mechanic to create the filters, I merely used what was in-game built, namely a thing called "Imagespace Modifiers" or "IMods" They're part of the vanilla game engine and the game uses them for a lot of things, but some ENBs decided that it wasn't a good idea to let the game handle graphics so iMods stopped working with those. If you're using one of those ENBs, tough luck, but I can testify the ones I've been using do cause some visible changes, namely Tetrachromatic and SnapDragon, which are used for different things, but I can say filters work with both of them.
