I wasn't sure I could participate, as the last 3 weeks at work were intense.
but, on the wire, I managed to provide you a selection, pffiuuuu ^^

Hard as rock, I also interpreted it as a building material, and so, added some screenshots of mythical sculptures, as well as some screenshots of buildings. But reassure yourself, very diluted amid screens of mountains, cliffs and rocks.

PS: sorry, it's still a "river" selection in the number of screens, but at least you'll have a choice ....

As always, Your set puts in images a lot of perspectives on the subject, which makes it possible to let roam the imagination of everyone a big congratulations, for this thirteenth theme.

Amazing!! Every single shot looks like a declaration of love to nature (well, besides of the great Atronach Stone shots): your pieces of art are powerful, majestic, vivid and stunningly beautiful, I cannot stop being astonished. *laugh* I wish I had your talent... One part of me wants to ask how you managed to create such masterpieces, which texture mods and ENBs you are using etc. … There is another part who just wants to see, savor and be surprised. You are a real natural, thanks a lot for sharing your work and theme idea! *heartily endorsed*

...and I can't stop being astonished by your kind praise!

But seriously, thank you kindly for the very generous words. I do admit, I like these myself (otherwise I woulnd't pick them for an invitation set) and I also feel my screenarchery has stepped up one notch on the ladder, so to speak. Much is achieved thanks to the ENB and the LUT's I'm using though, so I'm quite sure most people would get similar results...but maybe that's just dumbing my own skills down, I don't know? Art - or images in general - are hard to look at when you're the "screenarcher/photographer" yourself. Some days a shot looks marvellous, while other days it looks rubbish. So when others praise them, it's like a blessing wind of calmness, telling me I'm doing something right. Thank you for that!

If you still want some technical info about mods, ENB's and such, just let me know. You seem somewhat hesitating regarding this!

Awesome idea for theme my friend! I think I might have a few ideas for this theme, cannot wait to see what everyone comes up with for this theme

Now as for your shots they are awesome really like the last shot of the character on the horse with the mountain backdrop.

Many thanks, my friend! It's always interesting to hear if people find the ideas just as intriguing as I do when I come up with them. I can see lots of opportunities, but that's not automatically the fact among others, so there's always this sudden moment of anxiety to see the expectations of others. So far I seem to have picked good ones though!

Great to hear you might be having some shots and ideas for this theme too. It's heavily landscape-oriented, at least by the first glimpse, but I figured it was time for something like that, because of "The Riddle of Steel" and "Witchcraft" lately.

The last shot here, I like very much myself. It has this certain "fantasy novel cover" written all over it!

Thank you kindly, Hannah! No, the themes are not that much of a hassle, so my short break had nothing to do with them. Making screenshots is still a very creative hobby for me and it won't stop. It was more personal issues that put me down for two weeks. I'm actually lucky I have my screenshots, my characters and my writing, since it nurture my creativity and that's a great power to have when ordinary life appears bad. I need to step away for a short break sometimes though and simply let the darkness pass, but it won't conquer me completely.

I'm really thrilled to hear you got some ideas for this theme! I picked it, mostly for our landscape screenarchers, since it's been character-oriented themes lately, but as always the theme can be interpreted freely and I know you have a deep imagination that always impresses me. We'll see if you're able to get something ready for the 13th theme, but don't feel obligated if you run out of time. You know the drill by now...

It's nice to see you in a good space again. This is really your element haha
The landscape-oriented theme was a good idea, you're right about it leaning more towards the characters lately so it'll probably make for some interesting interpretations in the ones who don't usually do landscape pics. Myself included, I guess lol. I've got something though and it's probably going to be a lot of fun ;)

Great idea and I could think of a few twists to this theme. Good to see you still doing community events like this as I think it really does help build a sense of community. Perhaps gives you something to focus on as well when times are tough.

The main image caught my attention when I was looking through images though - love the sense of power and drama in the sky. Something about the rugged roicky landscape and a cloudy almost stormy sky that adds real drama to a view.

The twists are most welcomed, Jon! I actually wanted to give more thought about ideas around this theme, but since I was already a bit "late", I figured I go with the more obvious shots, namely grand mountains and a few rocks and stones. There are some quite interesting angles to the theme though, but the downside of hosting this is you don't always have the time to get the right captures for the presentation set. I want to play the game still, and I do lots of other sets as it is, so when roaming for "theme shots", it's more or less by chance while jumping around different saves. So far, so good, but I know I have themes coming that require a lot more planning, unless I settle with only 4-5 images. I like giving options as an inspiration though, so around 20 shots is what I aim for.

It does help being creative and it makes me focus on being so as well. My "walls" to break when darkness arrives - and it will from time to time - is more about the social part of hosting an event. I know I might appear "chatty" with long replies and comments, but I'm quite a reserved guy. That's mainly why I've kept myself here at Nexus only, even if I've been asked for in groups on both Steam and Discord. I'm just...well, lets say live chats bring an element into play that makes me somewhat anxious. I'm not a very loud person in real life and I do prefer being more or less alone for most of the time. This feeling enhances when the mood is low, so I turn silent here at Nexus too. But that's a whole other discussion...

Thanks a lot for the kind words! The skies look rather neat in many of these shots and I can understand your interest for the main shot. There's a reason I picked it as the main, and that's the elegant simplicity combined with the "alive sky". These clouds and skies come from the mod Real Clouds which also adds cloud movements due to the weather changes. I didn't use it until only a few months ago, but it has made my skies very enjoyable. The downside is, it tends to crash the game a lot during screen captures with the console commands, especially when it's bad weather due to the cloud movement (I'm guessing), but it's still worth it...

You can always travel to Bruma and snap some shots of the mountains from the south of Skyrims border. I never did that, so it's open for grabs!

I have a feeling there will be a lack of mountains though if you decide to join in once again. I know you're a trickster and you will come up with something unique!

I saw your contribution today, so I have to say you did a quick work with going through 1800 images. No sweat at all, right?

Great choices too and I'm so pleased to see you being part of the event this time. I know you come and go, and that you've been away from Skyrim for a while, so that's making me even more happy having you onboard for this "mountain run"...

Take your time and do the thinking, my dear. So many upload a set only a few days after the theme is released and then there's a long waiting for the deadline. I understand if you have a lot of old shots to get through, then you can get a set together quickly, but I also like to think the themes are encouraging for some new captures. You more or less always do that, so by all means...let it sink in and return when you're ready...

Thanks a lot! I'm quite happy with these shots and they're all with LUT's if I'm not mistaken. It's been a while since I played Skyrim without the LUT's, so I feel they're more or less a part of my imagery now...

After going on holiday, I am completely backed up with images/updates so some of them haven't been getting my due attention. I admit, I clicked and was going to scroll through quickly....but nope, couldn't do it. Each image had something new and beautiful in them. So glad I took the time to enjoy them. Breathtaking. I even went back to look again. Thanks so much for sharing your artistry!

...and here I was, thinking perhaps too many mountain ranges in one upload would be boring! Your words and praise prove me wrong, so I'm generally happy about your reaction. Since I adore landscape shots myself, it's sometimes difficult to see beyond my own borders. My whole screenarchery "career" started with landscapes only in Vanilla Skyrim. That's a while back now, but my love for nature's grandness remains the same even if I also do lots of character shots nowadays.

I'll happily share my shots when they get such a warm welcome! Thank you, V!
