Skyrim

When I examined the noble furniture textures and all the accompanying meshes, I discovered that Bethesda was asking an awful lot from only 3 color textures (plus normal maps). While some items like the "bed" texture was allowed a fair amount of space to do its job, the "chest" texture was required to cover a wide variety of furniture objects. Making things worse, the meshes often only reference a small section of the texture and simply repeated it. Simply put, Bethesda's method of wrapping their furniture meshes is less than ideal.

It was obvious to me that a 4K texture would be required to bring the level of detail needed. While that may not be what many people would ordinarily use in their game, you have to consider that these 3 textures cover well over 50 game objects, so they give pretty good "bang for the buck" when it comes to VRAM allotment. However, I did make a 2K option for those people who simply can't run 4K textures in their game. If you can, I would suggest trying the 4K version first, and seeing if the difference in detail is worth it to you.

These texture took a considerable amount of time to create, so I hope people enjoy the results of my efforts. If they prove popular enough, I may expand into covering more of the furniture textures. Perhaps, it may eventually simply become a RUSTIC FURNITURE mod.

Please feel free to add screenshots to fill in all the objects that I was unable to capture... there are many.

Cheers,
Gamwich
