Sins of the Prophets Rebellion Alpha v0.85.1
3 May, 2017

Prior to installation, have Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion (SoaSE:R for future reference) installed.

Large Address Aware (LAA) is no longer required to run mods on SoaSE:R as of 1.9 - Do NOT enable it!

If you have played Sins of the Prophets before, delete any previous copies of the mod from your Sins mod directory first.

Launch Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion - From the Main Menu, go into Options, mods, and click show mod path; this will create a folder within the SoaSE:R
mod directory, allowing for proper installation of mods.

Extract the folder in the zip file called "SotP v0.85.1" to your Sins mod directory. If your SotP mod folder contains the readme (this document), you've
extracted the parent folder of the mod into SoaSE:R's mod folder, and you'll need to pull the further SotP v0.85.1 mod folder out of it in order for the
mod to work. It cannot be nested in extra folders for SoaSE:R to pick it up properly.

Location of SoaSE:R mod directory folder:

Example for Windows XP:
C:\Documents\\My Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Mods-Rebellion v1.85

Example for Vista/Win 7/Win 8/8.1/10:
C:\Users\\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Mods-Rebellion v1.85

*Any folder name containing v1.85 or later will work just fine to run mods out of.

Final Installation:
Launch SoaSE:R, click Options, then Mods, look through the available mods tab for SotP v0.85.1, select it, then hit enable mod.

If activating the mod in-game causes SoaSE:R to crash:
To activate the mod manually, copy the EnabledMods.txt file that came with your copy of the mod over to the SoaSE:R [Mods-Rebellion v1.85] mod folder
mentioned above in the installation guide.

The mod is working if the only races you can select are Halo races. If this is not the case, you have not properly installed the mod in your mods folder.
Ensure that the folder you're moving into the SoaSE:R mod directory is called "SotP v0.85.1" and NOT "Sins of the Prophets" or it is the wrong one!
The correct folder, "SotP v0.85.1", is still nested inside of the "Sins of the Prophets" folder, and must be removed in order to install correctly.

Font Installation:
Sins of the Prophets uses custom fonts, that replace all in game text font styles. For optimal play, it is suggested that players install the fonts
included within the download folder.

Open up the "Install These Fonts" folder, included within the download, and while within the folder press [CTRL] and [A] on your keyboard to highlight
all of the files, then right click one of the files and select the "install" option. It will automatically install the new fonts for you, hassle free.

Additional Troubleshooting:
If you've enabled the mod, and nothing has changed, you have not put the mod folder into the SoaSE:R mod directory, you have put the folder that HOLDS
the mod folder into the mod directory. Pull it out of that folder, and it should work, though it would be a good idea to remove the now useless parent
folder from the directory.

If the mod crashes after a successful enable, or has major errors, you should redownload and then reinstall the mod using the freshly downloaded file.

Further issues may be arising from your SoaSE:R install. If reinstalling the latest SotP release doesn't resolve any major issues, reinstallation of
SoaSE:R is advised. If this does not resolve your issues, please feel free to contact us anywhere listed below under the contact links for support.
