This does not work. There is no way to get Community Scriphook.net to work if I already have LML, Rampage and Script Hook RDR2 with Version.DLL. It just crashes when I select story mode, and it's a shame because I can't use the smoke mod anymore because I need Community ScriptHookRDR2 .NET. But nobody comes to help, all this seems to be abandoned, nobody can or wants to help and it seems that the support for RDR2 mods is getting worse, nobody answers, it's sad.
Don't use version.dll. Use dinput8.dll that comes within the Alexander Blade Scripthook zip file instead. Do not use both at the same time. Do not use Lenny's Simple trainer as this requires version.dll. Use Rampage trainer (which you are already using) and use dinput8.dll as your asi loader. Also, within this community scripthook zip, there should be a file called " FOR ERRORS." Open that up, read the readme, extract or drag and drop "REDIST" folder onto your desktop, open it, and run the "install_all.bat" installer and that will install all the necessary redistributable files that this requires. This should fix your problems. I'm not too knowledgeable on these things but I've noticed these instructions from other mods I've downloaded. Hope it works out for you =)
Except a lot of mods require version.dll so this mod is basically a bust for anyone using something like Complete Horse Overhaul. Cant use the one hide HUD mod because of a prerequisite conflict.
exact same problem as raidenrbtx, wish i could use this mod and the smoking mod but it community...etc def breaks my game. took me so long to figure out and i sadly just have to live without it
This worked for me I used Version.dll and Scripthookrdr2 V2 delete dinput8.dll and all my mods worked this is after the stupid update here is the link https://www.nexusmods.com/reddeadredemption2/mods/1472?tab=description
Me simply downloading the script hook you linked worked for me. I still was able to use my dinput8.dll in my game and was able to solve my crashing on the start up. Thank you for the link, friend.
Hi, to anyone having issues with freezing or CTD upon attempting to load in to story mode what worked for me is uninstalling RedHook2, an ASI loader, from my RDR2 root folder. Game instantly worked after removing the extra ASI loader. I have LML and version.dll however I do not use a trainer so I am unsure if this will work in that area, might be a different issue/try using the ScriptHook on the AB Software development site as it uses no version.dll. Thought this was the same as the ScriptHook on the AB Software development site so I assumed I needed an ASI loader for it to work but apparently it comes with an ASI loader lmao... I don't know if there are any other causes for this issue or any other solutions but this is what worked for me.
TL;DR Ensure you do not have more than one single scripthook OR ASI loader inside of your root folder. Only use the scripthook and ASI loader from the one mod you downloaded it from (Community Scripthook, ScripthookRDR2 from AB Software Development, Redhook2, etc.)

Is modding this game not possible anymore due to script hooking disabled?
Also, the rar file for this files looks corrupted and my WinRar can't open it. Any help please?
