I personally don't want to play without seasons, so I'll stick to Vestiga 1.3. But I wanted to just take a second to thank you for the previous versions and for continuing to mod such a wonderful game, you're part of the reason why it's still the greatest game I've played in 40 years of being a gamer :)
Honestly, if you just want the visual changes you can throw the seasons.asi in there without anything else and get the winter-spring-summer-fall look. The temperature changes are a bit harder to incorporate if you don't know what you're doing, but unless you use mods like "Wet" it doesn't really matter.
With the unedited dynamic seasons mod, I would often get 70° temperatures in the south during winter and it wasn't very immersive anyways.
All that to say, you can just drop the .ASI in with this mod and still get the best of both worlds. It would be my recommendation if you won't use this for compatibility reasons; this release of Vestigia looks amazing. Just understand that any time you're in the lower half of the map the exhibited temperature probably won't match the visuals of the season, outside of summer time
my game wont launch now how to fix when I got the original version of vestigia before like a few months ago it still didnt work and i had to use whyems visuals which doesnt look that good and still the game wont launch with the new version how to fix edit: fixed it was not this mod issue epic games just signed me out for no reason and it didnt even show lol ts mod is amazing
Love that blue-green sky tint during sunsets 👍. This looks really good, and the lighting is well balanced for HDR.
All in all this is really excellent work, I thank you for the release! My -only- suggestion would be to tweak the height parameters for temperature a bit...I tested on top of a mountain in the north and the temp was something like -60° for sunny/high pressure, which is a little extreme. It was around 15° for snow up there, which confused me a little at first but then I realized at that cold a temperature it wouldn't snow or rain, so actually +1 for realism there.
I gotta try the update, any info on the changelog? Again ty, this is really good stuff
The low temperatures in the mountaintops are intentional. I wanted the playable area to represent the variety of temperatures you would see in a cross-season American context, and since the mountaintops are above all the playable area, they can get basically about as cold as the coldest days in the coldest areas of the United States. Thanks for the kind words!
Fair enough. You definitely achieved the range, went from sweating in St Denis to throwing fire bottles for warmth up top haha. I really love the clouds and I'm a fan of the stylized precipitation as well. I liked the first Vestigia too but you outdid yourself on the weathers in this one and I appreciate the improved compatibility - it can get pretty frustrating manually editing install xmls or files to make things play nice together after a while.
