As soon as I enter any part of West Elizabeth/Blackwater area I am shredded by Pinkertons. Doesn't matter how many I kill, they keep coming.

Thanks for making this. I got through Tall Trees fine, but as soon as I passed south of the Lower Montana River, a sniper started shooting at me, and I auto-died near Macfarlane's Ranch.
Is this happening to anybody else? I have the ScriptHookV2 mod installed. Maybe that mod isn't working correctly?
An alternative to this mod, would be Rampage Trainer, which includes this cheat in its menu. You will need to save Toggles in Rampage Trainer to keep the cheat through any save.
I have the same issue. Loads to a black screen. dinput8.dll and scripthookrdr2..dll both in the root.
I had LML installed as well, for the perfect pelts mod, but I removed that, and it still loads to a black screen. Any suggestion would be much appreciated.
If you have ScriptHookRDR2 V2 and you have a black screen, I believe there is an issue with that itself. There should be a ini config where you can disable the interface and overlay.
I also saw a similar suggestion on Syyyke's unknown error page. However, I have a new issue now where any .asi file I place into the root will cause the game to not load using the RDR2 launcher. Literally nothing happens after I click the launcher icon
If I try to force it to run using the Rockstar Games Launcher to try and get to RDR2, it will let me select RDR2 to play, but after 30 seconds or so an error will appear saying, "RDR2 exited unexpectedly" Please click Retry below to enter the game again, etc, etc. It then offers me the option to launch in Safe Mode. This all started when I tried to run RDR2 using an elevated prompt (i.e. I launched RDR2 via "run as administrator").
I looked up that issue and saw recommendations to replace the vsf.asi file with the LML vsf.asi file, but that's actually the one I'm using. I think I mentioned earlier I have LML installed for Perfect Pelts. But I don't think that is the whole problem, because Syyyke's Unknown Error mod runs through LML and he recommends using your mod as well, so they must be compatible.
I took a backup of the game on 3/28/25 before I made any modifications, and it's weird ScriptHookRDR2 was in the root and was working, but there was no ScriptHookConfig.ini file yet. That didn't come into existence until whatever I did on 4/1/25, which is the same day I ran RDR2 using admin elevation. I also noticed a vsf.asi log file in existence now that was created at the exact same time on 4/1/25 as the ScriptHookConfig.ini.
Thank you soo much for your mod! SergeantJoe's version was causing my save file to not load at all. I am dissastisfied with the fact that SergeantJoe disabled comments to hide any complaints about his mod being broken, and with the fact that NexusMods encourages such bad modder behavior by not letting us report such save-breaking mods.
The mod has been tested with Scripthook V2 with no issues. Please check that you have a asi loader called dinput8.dll installed, in the case you installed a mod for the first time.
Hello. i have tested this mod and 100% working... but when i explore the new austin as arthur then i save my game near armadillo... i load the game arthur will spawn near lower montana river...so can someone help me?
Does this work with original AB Scripthook v1.0.1491.17? I am not sure I want to download Scripthook V2, since I heard a lot of complaints about that new version
upd: Just checked, everything works great with classic AB Scripthook. Game version: 1491.50.
Also to those who want to save their progress and respawn in same area - set a camp and immediately save the game, otherwise you will always be respawned way back in Upper Montana river near entering Blackwater zone no matter how far you got.
Now New Austin exploration is free from this invisible BS.
I must stress , that this mod is pure QualityOfLife improvement and not a cheating. This is my first playthrough in which I want to make everything that is possible with Arthur. I have only 3 essential mods installed: walking control speed, Gambler 8/9 and now this one. And boy oh boy this is a super mod. It is an open world so why the heck should I be instakilled by Deus ex machina? Throw pinkertons at me instead, thats fair. I wouldnt mind pinkertons attacking me like crazy in Blackwater - I fought my way to New Austin on a horse, taking hundreds of bullets and drinking dozens of potions, but that was FUN and somewhat realistic.
BUT - this invisible Godlike sniping is not immersive, nor realistic. So countering this with a mod is fair. I still have to be carefull in New Austin, because Pinkertons are there too, but not so savage as in Blackwater. And there is no need for this stupid wagon bs too. Free Arthur exploration!
Alright, I now see what you mean. The mod does not remove that, but I can see that the game actually tries to set your health to zero when you are in the area where that triggers.
Hello, about the audio tool, is possible to make it replace npc awcs? I used AI to create new voicelines for an npc but the tool says the awc is encrypted...

Long time back I had a trainer that allowed me to disable the sniper, and it was great. I don't know why Perfect Pelts works via LML and this doesn't.
