Hi all, thanks for being here! I'll keep this messaged pinned in case there's anything that deserves to be stickied.
Version 4.2 is out! Just starting to get familiar with shader code, hopefully I can do something good with that knowledge in the future. :)
What's New?
TreyM and Lord of Lunacy helped me add The Sandvich Maker's TriDither to both the vignette and LUT shaders, for a cleaner image with less artifacting. Much thanks to them for getting me on my feet and poking around in the shader code. And I tweaked the film grain back up again to get closer to Trey's Film Workshop, which is absolutely amazing, please go check it out!
On the topic of distribution, if some of these shaders are yours and I misinterpreted the licensing, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'll fix the way this mod is deployed. :)
If you like this mod or others, endorsing really helps out. :)
And as always, if you ever have any questions or suggestions, just let me know.
Thank you all so much for your feedback and interest, it means a lot!
This reshade is so absolutely beautiful I HAD to comment.
Hardly needs to be tweaked, just had to disable grain and chromatic aberration and it was perfect.
Its incredible to me that a game can go from cartoonish to hyper realistic and beautiful with basicly color changes.
I can never play rdr2 without this reshade now. As i'm playing ill occasionally hit DELETE' to see how the vanilla game looks and after experiencing the before and after i can never go back.
I used to think rdr2 had top tier graphics This reshade revealed to me how much of a cartoonish look rdr2 has, and revealed the awful green and yellow tint that DESTROYS the look of the game.
10/10 just needs to be tweaked slightly to your personal taste, never going back to vanilla
So,I just created a detailed tutorial video on how to install a Reshade. I`ve done this, since many of my downloaders dont know how to do so. I experienced that media is easier to consume than reading an instruction,so I thought I might share this video on different Reshades. Maybe you (the Mod creator) wants to pin it or add it to video section, for easier access :) If you dont like the video, feel free to delete this post :)
Hey, I'm a bit confused. For some reason it seems like this reshade is just stupidly bright/just doesn't look very good and I'm not sure what the issue could be. I'm on a fresh install of reshade, skipped the download of shaders during said install per your instructions and only used what came with your files. Using Vulkan for graphics also. Spec wise I have an i7 9700K and an RTX 2080ti. Thanks.

Edit : You have to uncheck Layer.F.X, sorry for the question ....
i've uninstalled and deleted all reshade looking files in the RDR2 folder
Run the installer selecting RDR2.exe
selected Vulkan for the API (the read me says something about choosing it globablly, i've never been presented with a choice)
skipped "Select effects packages to install"
copied
· reshade-screenshots
· reshade-shaders
· ReShade.ini
into the RDR2 folder
what am I doing wrong?
can I run other mods at the same time? (no vignette/crime & punishment/ambient gangs)
Not sure what the issue is?
