Great reshade mate, its my favorite! However i hav the same problem as in vanilla game, the nights are way to bright. Is there any possibility to make it darker by myself or any plans to implement something like a aditional file or even a menu with bright/dark slider like i saw on other reshades
I'm having the same issue with the most recent ReShade, I have opted for the time being to revert to the previous version until I can figure out what the issue is.
I'm confident its not affecting the preset, but still, I'd like to fix it.
Any reason why this mod isn't working for me? First of all, when I download it all of the files in the .rar are... blue. Like, all the file names are blue, I don't think I've ever seen that with any other mod. Second of all, when I start up the game and open up the reshade menu, all of the effects are in red and are saying there's an error loading them. I can go into more detail, but if you maybe know what the solution is based off that description I'd be happy.
I believe the text is blue on the files inside the rar file, to indicate they are compressed.
As for the shaders not working, my first thought is that the directory for the shaders/texture files needed in order for the effect to work, is different in the "ReShade.ini" downloaded in my files, to where you may have Red Redemption Dead 2 installed.
Within my file "ReShade.ini" the directories are listed as:
F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Red Dead Redemption 2\reshade-shaders\Shaders
F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Red Dead Redemption 2\reshade-shaders\Textures
Can you open up the "ReShade.ini" file (with notepad) and change the above directory lines for both the 'Shaders' file and 'Textures' file to match your Red Dead Redemption 2 install directory.
Thanks
P.s Also, you must make sure to select "Beautifully Grim Old West" preset once in the ReShade menu in game, instructions for this are on the main mod page.
I just came back here to post that I solved it by changing my directory to the proper texture, shader, and preset path. You're exactly right and I appreciate the quick and thorough response. The only issue I'm having now is it says its failing to load the textures: v_texNoise, v_texNoiseRGB, and v_texGaussNoise. I doubt that's an issue with your reshade and more of an issue with the reshade program itself, nevertheless thanks for making such a badass reshade and responding to my problem. (If you did happen to know how to solve my problem by any chance, I'd appreciate that too lol) Have a good one man.
Nice, glad you like my preset! Good, the issue was resolved. Funny enough I'm having the same issue with the most recent ReShade, I have opted for the time being to revert to the previous version until I can figure out what the issue is. I don't think its affecting the preset, but still, I'd like to fix that. Will update you when I resolve the issue.
Thats great to hear, thanks. Still tweaking an update, I've just been so busy with work recently. The current version will of course remain available once I release an update for those who may prefer otherwise.
Thanks, glad you like it. I’ve been tweaking it allot recently, mainly adjustments to the lighting in places and to the subtle colours here and there, still keeping to the original look of course. I’ll upload the newer version soon.
Also trying to implement a very slight and subtle Depth Of Field in the distance, however this almost always comes at performance cost, which I’d like to avoid.
