Same problem here, mod works perfect in game menus but when opening the satchel awsd doesn’t work. Tried editing the text document by adding a satchel/inventory line. Same result. Did you use the light or the full file ?
You're beating a dead horse, the mod hasn't been updated in two years, might wanna check such things before blaming the mod for not working as advertised.
You cannot simply replace the "KeyMappings" file from "BetterKeybinds" here, but you must replace the content (except for the top line) with the content under (C:\Users\xxxxx\Documents\Red Dead Redemption 2\Profiles\ xxxxx) of the existing "KeyMappings" file (leave the top line untouched here as well).
PS: for those to whom the Rockstar Launcher reports the changed file. Simply select the local KeyMappings file and you're done. works for me.
Rockstar must have patched this out apparently. many keybinds conflict even though they shouldn't because they are in separate menus or contexts I've tried changing many things and it will either say it conflicts in-game, or if done in the keymap file itself, the game will reset the keymap to default when you load back in. You CANNOT put WASD to anything else anymore. stupid, thanks R* another thing is the Lock-on (RMB). When holding this, it unlocks a whole new keymap, same as holding shift or Ctrl, but the game erroneously says it conflicts with the normal map. It might be an accident to keymap code. or they just couldn't make it smart enough to know.
How to change (loot body) from e to r ? in vanilla we loot body with e and carry body with r . i want to swap these keys for these specific actions only. any help appreciated

It blocks one of my mouse buttons.
EDIT: For some reason going into the in-game keybind settings just breaks it, as long as you don't do that it should work.
