Thank you! Definitely a necessary mod! But please tell me - is it possible to create a mod for spawning NPCs and vehicles not behind your back or in front of your eyes, but at a great distance in advance?
I swear they changed the spawn distance in an update some time ago. I remember when I first played the game a year ago or more the spawn distances where great. I could see peds a mile or two off in the distance via binoculars, i never had these weird npc/asset pop ins we get now where npcs or vehicles or animals will literally spawn in front of you completely breaking immerson.
I wish there was a setting to control such things in the graphics menu but i don't think there is. But I definately feel like an update changed something to improve performance but sacrificed some spawn distance.
Please help me. Knowing people, how to change the distance for pedestrians and vehicles in the visualsettings.dat file? It is necessary that animals, vehicles and pedestrians appear at longer distances from Arthur or John. What lines are responsible for this? Thank you in advance.

is it normal that when i open the main persistence_constants file (located in common_0.rpf/data using Open IV) it still shows the default values? did i do something wrong or is this normal?
The ones I remember mainly are the Buffalo when hunting with Charles which will appear on the hill and I think it was a Boar which appears when riding to the Braithwaite manor but there are plenty more
It has nothing to do with story missions. If you kill a horse or another animal and return to the place some ingame time later. The animal will stand and fall to the ground in front of your eyes. You should open your eyes when playing this game.
Makes no sense to me. If you are right OMillet - and I think you prob are, why after you kill something and go a ways away some 5 minutes later (without persistence mods by the way) - why would a corpse that's been there suddenly get up and and lay back down? Just questioning R's logic. But it must have to do with what this mod fixes. We can only see what's around us. The corpse didn't actually stay there? Just the game remembers where it was supposed to be and places it when we get close enough to that spot again. OK, makes sense. Maybe lol. But I still prefer to play the game with my eyes closed :-P
From my current understanding, when you kill npc or animals (or sometimes a fixed npc body at a "place of interest") their bodies will remain there (realistic part of the game, the body will "rot" and turn into bones as time goes on). When you leave the area (far away), due to the performance issue, the body will be physically deleted to boost performance. And when you come back the body will respawn (the game tries to be realistic since you killed them at this place earlier). The thing is, the body will spawn in its "default" standing animation and then drop (since it's marked as dead). So, I believe (at the very least) that this mod increases the spawn distance, making it less noticeable when the bodies spawn and "drop" far away from the player.
i hesitate use Enhanced Entity and World Persistence 1.4 mod cuz there's so many bugs in the report section.. im not test yet but highly increase value of <fDistanceForCorpseRemoval, i hope game remember corpses no matter how further from corpses..

Although the persistence_constants.meta that this mod alters contains NumHoursToRememberCorpse, etc if one knew how to tweak.
Edit: it appears the <fDistanceForCorpseRemoval that this mod does change would take care of persistence if you don't go too far away?!
