I downloaded this mod without much expectation, looked like a small change but let's try it anyway.
And once installed I was surprised how much more immersive encounters felt, like no instant ammo anymore and looting give actually good stuff. It feels even better with overall reduced money gains so looting is actually a nice way to make some cash.
Great mod! But I would like to get less ammunition, quite a bit))) I read your instructions on how to edit a file, you have a good sense of humor: it literally says - open and change what you need)) and I see hundreds of thousands of lines of code. Could you tell me what needs to be changed to make ammo mining look like a regular game or even less?
I have mods installed"Less money", "No automatic selection of ammo", "Lower ammo limit". Will there be a conflict? Judging by the description, your mod affects all aspects of these mods. I want to install your mod, but I'm afraid that I will break everything in the game))
I have the impression that the mod is not active on my side.When I pass over corpses the ammunition picks up automatically. Yet I noticed a lot more open bottles and more silver buckles. I don't understand.
I did however copy the folder with the five files into lml. I think I must have missed something.
Hello, french cowboy. Must be conflict with some another mod. Check out for mods that use the same file names. Also you can check ModManager.log for error messages. Or give priority to this mod in mod manager.
i have no error in mod manager, yet i dont get any ammo or money from bodies and i have this mod at the bottom of the LML load order like mentioned, so it should work - and it used to for me but it doesnt anymore. It automatically picks up my throwing knives too :(
I made a version of loot_table_ped.meta that combines the changes in your mod here with Ambient Gangs addition of advanced ammo to law and gangs.
It is essentially identical to your file, but all advanced ammo's from Ambient Gangs version had their min, max, and rate cut in half (rounded up) instead of deleted and pardon letters were cut in a third (down to 10% from relevant sources). I could go back to modulate the realism of advanced ammunition possession (natives would be more likely to have more poison or advanced arrows than fire arrows even though these numbers are the same), and might do it at a later point. The goal would then be to delete loot_table_ped in the file for this mod.
Let me know if you or anyone else is interested and would like me to post it or send it privately.
For some reason this mod prevented me from getting Weapon Master II challenge - 3 kills with throwing knives in 10 sec. I did numerous experiments with it, otherwise pretty sweet mod.
Didnt see any of this yet, but do enemies also drop express ammo from time to time? Ive seen them drop HG rounds and normal rounds yet but no express so far. Is there a way to add that to the possible loot table?
You could add it yourself, but you'd have to open the loot tables yourself and add them. If you wanted to add Express ammunition for the revolver for example, you could add this under a peds drops. Item Name AMMO_REVOLVER_EXPRESS /Name Min value="2" / Max value="4" / Rate value=".40" / Type Item /Type Item
You need greater than symbols surrounding everything <, which you can see when you look in the loot tables what format it uses. Just copy what the other code in there looks like.

Open loot_table_itemgroups.meta and you will instantly see ammo amounts. What is difficult?
