Overview:
- This my first edit of ymaps, ytyps, and textures, so it may not be prefect.
- Restored the barn that burns down in the mission "An Honest Mistake" with Uncle in Chapter 3.
- Cleaned up the trash and debris from the house, field, and the barn.
- Removed and optimized many items in the house and barn.
- Added brand new fence for the barn and the grazing field.
- The Map Editor file only adds the cows and horses and items in the house.
Notes:
- As for doing the mission "An Honest Mistake" with Uncle, there should be no conflicts, but I haven't tested it.
- Also for the mission "The Iniquities of History", the stranger mission, where you collect items for Jeremiah, I again am not sure whether the items will spawn or be able to be collected.
-Thus, I recommend you finish the mission before installing and loading the map.
- Some of the lighting in the house may be buggy at some angles and not cover the area it should cover. Not really a fix for this, unless you remove and add a new light.
- Also you cannot enter the barn with a horse, because the collision is part of the IMAP i think.
- From afar some of the debris is visible because of the LOD file that I can't find, this should really be a problem unless you are no-clipping to the house.
- If you want to actually sleep in the house you will need to use the small bed/cot to the left of the bed, I couldn't find a usable bed that fitted the style.
- The animals might run and clip through the fence if the get spooked, this is because there is no collision boundries for peds for those fences.
- If anything breaks, just reload the the Map Editor file.
- Next location to renovate possibly Van Horn Mansion.
For Nerds and Modders:
-The items for the interior couldn't be converted to a ymap because it involved putting them into the ytyp file; the game treats the interiors as and entirely new map, making the middle of the room x=0 y=0 z=0, and when you place objects in it through map editor, it uses the world coords instead, making the items invisible. So without exporting the interior to a modeling program or spawning the interior at 0,0,0 it cant be done.
