    About v1.1
    There is not urgent reason to update this mod.
    Because the latest patch from Arkane Studios just weaken contrast when close combat a little, and omitted "Trauma_Bleeding" effect.
    My mod deletes all effect of close combat, so difference between the latest patch and older/original "ArkPostEffects.xml" is just bleeding thing.
     
    v1.1での更新はArkPostEffects.xmlに"Trauma_Bleeding"の項目が無くなっただけです。
    これは公式パッチによる変更で、一つの視覚エフェクトを削除してるということです。
    非常に小さな変更なので私のmodを更新する火急の理由はありません。更新してもしなくても大丈夫です。

    I am using compatible version right now with "Real lights plus Ultra graphics". For some reason psychoscope still has blue light not like on screenshots. Everything else works fine. 
    I guess I need to edit ArkLights.xmlin patch_ZZZ_jmx777_RLUG_Undarken_patch.pak
    but I don't know which numbers should I change... Guess I will try to find out.

    Yo could we get a version w/ just the combat lighting removed but keeping the flashlight and psychoscope the way they are

      If you want it, I suggest you make your own mod.
      Just delete parameters from line 160 to line 215 of the original \ark\VisualEffects\ArkPostEffects.xml to acquire the result you want.

      I opened the file from your mod in Notepad++, and deleted the lines you mentioned - but it made no difference in game. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      OK, I try explanation in short.
      First, you need sir kane's tool to unpack .pak and decrypt .xml.
      Use them to unpack Arkane's .pak to zip and decrypt .xml so that you can edit.
      And then delete parameters from line 160 to line 215 of the original \ark\VisualEffects\ArkPostEffects.xml, not mine of this mod.
      Then put the file to any Arkane's zip which has been unpacked, emptied, but never unzipped, with correct directory(structure of folder).
      Finally, rename the .zip to .pak.

      PS: The reason I wanted to remove the changed flashlight, was because of a incompability with Real Lights Plus Ultra Graphics mod - I didn't use the correct version of Undarken (the one listed under previous versions). I notice that the fear effects are back again now (using the Real Lights compatability version), though not as strong as before. Maybe it needs to be updated to the last version of Real Lights that was recently released? FYI...

    Call me blind, but how do I use the flashlight while the scope is in use? I can only toggle the flashlight on and off when I'm not wearing the scope.
    This causes a bit of a problem with the light level in certain dark areas, especially with Real Lights Ultra dark mode.


    Even the wiki mentions that it is not possible to use flashlight together with the scope:

    Equipping the psychoscope does have the disadvantage of disabling access to the weapon wheel, since the control to pull it up is used to zoom the psychoscope in and out. it also prevents the use of the flashlight, though the psychoscope has its own night-vision-like effect to compensate for this.

    edit: Nevermind, I modified the psychoscope parameters in "Libs\EntityArchetypes\ArkLights.xml", so it provides a very nice dark vision. Now there is no need for a flashlight anymore.

    Hi AltheaR, I love the mod and it has greatly improved my game experience, with one small caveat -- the flashlight adjustment I find is insanely high in gamma/contrast. Would you consider releasing a version that includes everything except the flashlight tweak?

    I use another mod alongside yours which alters the lighting/flashlight in a more pleasant/natural/less harsh manner and it seems to be overwritten by UnDarken regardless of .pak order

    Thanks for the awesome work, I consider UnDarken to be "essential" to any modpack!

    ***EDIT: I'm an idiot; by using the older file specifically for compatibility with that mod, it works perfectly. Disregard!

    Hello there. Can someone tell me how to off auto brightness of flashlight?? this thing make me very annoyingly. I reduced the overall brightness of the flashlight by tweaking "color_DiffuseColor" of "Player.BodyFlashLight", its cool but auto brightness flashlight at close range is some kind of horror.
    Maybe can somehow disable this option in the game files?

    May I suggest moving the heart texture slightly down? It sorta lights up too much upwards and isn't quite centered.

    Could you separate out the flashlight changes and the combat darkness? Maybe an optional "reduced" darkness version instead of the no darkness? I really want to use this, but don't want the circular flashlight.
