First of all thank you for this mod but sadly the directions on Planetbase and Utility Mod Manager is non-existent and the the authors of these mods don't want to say step for step how to do it, so here is what I did and I want to be honest. I'm not even sure if it's right but the mod is green in Unity Mod Manager  when I load up the game and it seems it's working in-game? so here is my 2 cents for what it's worth.

    1. First thing I did was go into Unity Mod Manager and I went to choose Planetbase  but I could not find it in my list of games, so I went inside the Unity Mod Manager folder (where UnityModManager.exe) is installed and I right click, run as admin on console.exe file. A little black screen will come up and it says Selected Planetbase game. Do you want to change selection and I entered n and enter it did it's thing

    2. I went back into that folder to UnityModManager.exe and clicked it to bring up UMM. Planetbase was now selectable. I hit install and did it.

    3. I now got stuck cause at this point I just put the Almost No Spares Remake zip into UMM and it got an error everytime, so I went and  loaded the game, it was red dot on UMM menu and which means restart. I could not for the life of me figure it out. What I realized I needed Planetbase Utilities. What you need to do is put that Mod into UMM mod tab, right click and hit install, than it said ok on UMM mod tab menu.  Now you can put the Almost no spares zip file into the  UMM mods tab, right click and hit install. Now, both of the status's are ok and they show up green in UMM

! I could only right click and hit install to get it to work, if you select the file and hit install at the bottom, it leads you to choose a folder and no matter what folder I chose, It would not install. Only right clicking did it.

!!!. To full clairty, I have no idea what to do with the supposed required Unity Mod Manager Configuration script  https://www.nexusmods.com/planetbase/mods/43      -when I click on it, it comes to this text field when it clearly says unzip and run? run? what but I have no idea what that is all about. So, be warned, It still may not be right. All I know UMM is saying it's green ok, so if any of you out there can confirm or correct this, lmk. I only used UMM twice before (Green Hell & One & Two Point)

-Also I have did not put the Almost No Spares Extracted Folder inside my documents/mods folder. Is this right to leave it out or do I not need to put it inside as well?

The latest version of UMM supports Planetbase out of the gate, no need for  Unity Mod Manager Configuration script

Oh great. So, I guess I lucked myself into getting it done. It's green, so I'm good to go. I had no idea what to do with that. Do I need to put the Almost No Spares folder inside my documents folder or has UMM done all the installing for me?

UMM installs mods into Mods folder inside Planetbase installation folder, not Documents.

Guys, if someone writes an algorithm for the sequence of actions for the operation of this mod and framework, then I can insert this information into several guides dedicated to the game Planetbase.
Then we can spread the word about it and increase the number of players using mods.
I'd do it myself, but I still haven't been able to figure out how to get this mod to work.

What seems to be the problem? Just put the mod folder inside the Mods directory inside Plantebase's root folder.

It's great to see new mods for the Planetbase game coming in 2022!
    Thank you very much!
I have already added your new mod to the Steam Mods Guide:
Guide "List of Mods for Planetbase".

And I'm anticipating a lot of questions about working with the mod engine from Tahvohck:
    - Could you make more detailed instructions on how to install your mod and how to install Tahvohck's mod engine?
For people far from programming, the instructions that Tahvohck wrote are not enough.
Ideally, it would be great to make a video with an example of how the Tahvohck engine is installed and how your wonderful mod is installed afterwards.
    Thank you!

Thanks for kind words. I'll try to record a video detailing how to install UMM and it's configuration for Planetbase when I get a new cable for my headphones.

@ForcedUser666 , it will be wonderful!
When recording video, it is desirable to consider the following features:
      1) Many players do not understand English well. For example, English is not my native language.
Therefore, if you explain a lot in words, then many will not understand it.
It is desirable to show all the words on the screen. For example, to show the mouse cursor.
      2) Try to explain as for children and people who have never studied programming.
It is especially necessary to explain the very beginning.
      For instance:
      a) how to install the Tahvohck engine to work with its mods.
      b) how to install "Unity Mod Manager Configuration".  And maybe "Unity Mod Manager".
      c) how to install "Planetbase Utilities".
      d) how is it possible to work with files with ".ps1" extension?
      e) What is PowerShell? Where can we download it and where can we install it?
      f) It is necessary to show in which directories at which address all files should be placed.
      g) Show how to turn mods on and off.

      h) Since this video can be watched by those fans of the game who, like you, want to create new mods, it is advisable to tell more about how you made your mod.
To do this, you can mention a few useful links and where to look for information.
Example of useful links for mod developers:
      I) https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Category:Unity_Mod_Manager
      II) https://github.com/newman55/unity-mod-manager/wiki/How-to-create-a-mod-for-unity-game
III) Guide "If you have any questions while creating a MOD".
IV) How to create and add a mod with new buildings, items and techs: link-1, link-2, link-3, link-4.

Thanks a lot for everything you do!
I hope that after your video, many players will finally be able to play your wonderful mods!

Powershell is only used when making mods

Powershell is only used when making mods
I mentioned PowerShell because I read about it in Tahvohck's mod guide #1.
Here is a link where Tahvohck and I are trying to develop a text instruction for installing mods on the Tahvohck engine: "GitHub: Tahvohck/Planetbase-Mods, Issue #1".
There Tahvohck mentioned that "run .\UnityModManagerSetup\install-planetbase-to-umm.ps1. I thought you could do this via double-clicking, but it looks like you have to do it from a powershell window".
But this explanation of his is likely to be understood only by cool programmers, and not by ordinary players.

If in your instructions you can explain in an understandable language how it is possible to run a file with the ".ps1" extension and at the same time without mentioning the incomprehensible PowerShell, then that will be great!

We all, Planetbase players, really hope that you will be able to create instructions for working with mods that will be understandable to ordinary players.
Thank you very much for your time and effort!
