If you encounter problems installing mods or engines for working with mods (Patcher, Redirector, Utilities, etc.), then most likely the problem lies in the following:
1) .Net Framework 3.5. Make sure that "Windows .Net Framework 3.5" is installed on your computer or its functions are activated.
2) the files in the Planetbase directory are marked as read-only. The problem many people have with installing the Patcher is that some files in the Planetbase directory are marked read-only. Thus, Mod Patcher (Patcher-1) cannot do its job. The solution is to go into the Planetbase directory, then select everything (both directories and files) and go to "properties". You will see in the properties that the "Attribute" field is marked in black. So click on the box until it's empty (no black checkmark), then click apply, then in the new window, answer "do this for all files and subdirectories". Close "properties" and check again. IF the Attribute field is cleared (read-only unchecked), you can re-apply the Patcher, this time it will work. For those who get black windows when launching Patcher-1, the best thing to do is to uninstall, clear the "planetbase" entry with regedit, and then properly reinstall. Then check the attributes of files and directories for the possibility of overwriting (uncheck "read-only" in the properties) until overwriting is allowed in all folders and files of the game, then you can run Mod Patcher.
3) Addresses of directories and files are not in English. If you do not have a Steam version of the game: if the file location contains letters other than English (for example, Russian letters), experiment with installing the game in another directory without long file addresses and only English letters in the names.
4) Antivirus or operating system settings. Occasionally it happens that an antivirus, some program or operating system interrupts the execution of programs for working with mods. Check your antivirus settings and disable all other programs while patching. Try patching again and make sure the patching process is complete. Perhaps the operating system or some kind of antivirus program is preventing the Patcher from doing its job normally. When opening the file, give all permissions in the operating system, make it run as administrator.
Problem: Medics are caring about plants and ignoring injured colonists liing in med beds. None colonist was healed by med for days (I have about 8 full medbeds) Can you please set the priority of medic, so Healing is more importat?
I completely agree.I would like to add to this mod the ability to edit which specialists can take care of which plants. And for example, to be able to turn off the work of doctors on growing plants.
I was loving this mod. Built a huge bar/mess hall. Then I saw my food stocks dwindling. I thought "Ill fix this" and requested more biologists. 20 more showed up in the next transport.
GREAT! More than I needed but it will work.
Still my food stocks dwindled. I didnt understand why. Why were the biologists standing around doing nothing? Why was i running out of food? I didnt read the fine print that all the food was now handled by nurses. Im not quite sure why a nurse would be handling all the growing and biologists are now useless. My completely functioning base fell apart.
How to install Mod "Simplify": [Long version of the instruction]
1) make sure the game is patched and the Patcher is working. (On the main screen of the game, in the lower right corner, next to the version of the game, "[P]" will be written. The Patcher works great, including on the version of the game Planetbase 1.3.7.
4) unzip and place the mod files and folder in "%UserProfile% / Documents / Planetbase / Mods".
4.1) place the mod file "Simplify.dll" in "%UserProfile% / Documents / Planetbase / Mods / Simplify.dll".
4.2) put the "SimplifyData" mod folder in "%UserProfile% / Documents / Planetbase / Mods / SimplifyData". That is, you need to create a new "SimplifyData" folder in the "Mods" folder.
4.3) place the mod file "Simplify.csv" in "%UserProfile% / Documents / Planetbase / Mods / SimplifyData / Simplify.csv".
5) Edit the mod settings in the "Simplify.csv" file as you wish. Or, do not touch anything and leave those mod settings that are specified there by default. The "Simplify.csv" file is text and can be edited with any text editor.
6) Enjoy the game!
Description of the file "Simplify.csv": The file "Simplify.csv" is the config file for the mod "Simplify". It is a text file and can be edited with any text editor. By default, after unpacking the archive with the mod, you can see the following text content of the file: " public static int Colonists = 20 public static int vistors = 20 public static int PlantStorage = 15 public static int MealDrinksMedsStorage = 120 public static int Bioplasticproccesor_And_MetalproccesorStorage = 30 public static int MedBedStorage = 6 public static int alcohols = 2 public static int medkits = 3 public static int gunz = 3 ". You can edit the file and change the numbers for the specified parameters. By default, initially the "Simplify.csv" file contains 9 lines with 9 parameters. It is possible that this list of parameters that can be changed is even wider and more than 9.
You can experiment yourself and try adding some more additional parameters to the "Simplify.csv" file. Please share your experiences and successes in the comments below under this guide. The community of players will be grateful to you! :-) We all develop when we share our experiences!
If you do not know how to spell the text names for parameters in the Planetbase game, then below is a list of documents where the names of text variables are described.

By examining the documents above, you will be able to find out all the possible text variables and their values in the Planetbase game.

Yes, this is a very interesting solution! And thanks to this, this mod makes the game very fun :-) However, this mod, in addition to making a multifunctional room, also does a lot of other things that you don't really want. It would be great if there were mods where each change would only be one for one mod. And the next change would already be in the next other mod. In this case, each player could decide for himself which mods to connect and what to change in the game and what not to change.
I've successfully added a new building to the game, but I'm having trouble adding the components (similar to what you did with the bio dome). How did you make this work? The csv file doesn't make this obvious to me. Thanks.
Friend, are you making your new mod? Did you manage to deal with the problem that you are describing? Mods like this are very interesting! :-) It would be great to complete this mod and make more of the possible modifiable parameters. Then this mod would be perfect! And then the community of players could then experiment with parameter settings and adjust the balance in the game. Players could share their mod configurators text files and show them what game balance they like best. I really hope that someone can finish this mod!
i love this mod... but, it change the facility priority... for example, in default game, the first steps is airlock, oxygen and than the other facilities... but with this mod the steps changed in airlock, solar panel, biodome and than oxygen.... i want this mod for the interior freedom... not for the building steps change... is possible to use this mod but with default building steps?
I completely agree. This mod is very cool and makes the game very fun. However, after some time of the game, I want to slightly edit and balance the settings of the parameters of this mod.The "Simplify" mod comes with a configurator text file. But the problem is that only a very small number of parameters can be changed in this file. It would be great to complete this mod and make more of the possible modifiable parameters. Then this mod would be perfect!
It is a pity that the author of the mod has not been in touch for a long time. He could finish this mod in a short time. And then the community of players could then experiment with parameter settings and adjust the balance in the game. Players could share their mod configurators text files and show them what game balance they like best. I really hope that someone can finish this mod!
My wishes for the mod settings: Mod settings: When creating a new mod, it is very desirable to make it with the ability to edit and enable / disable parameters. This can be done using a separate text file where everyone without programming knowledge could change the text values that change the balance in the game.
Problem: After installing this mod, at the very beginning of the game, it is now possible to build only one object. This only possible object for construction is an airlock. After the construction of the air lock, no new construction options appear. As a result, all the colonists die without oxygen already in the first minute of the game.
Maybe I installed this mod incorrectly? Unfortunately, in the description of the mod there is no information exactly where to place the mod files. For example, where exactly do I need to place the file "Simplify.csv"?
The picture from the description of the mod shows that at the start of the game it becomes possible to immediately build a biodome. But I did not have this additional possibility of construction. And the possibility of building an oxygen generator at the beginning of the game disappeared.
I will be very grateful to everyone who can explain how to properly install this mod. It is very interesting to play this mod. Thanks!
Now everything works! I solved the problem. The problem was when I had the game version 1.2.3. Now I installed version 1.3.6. and everything began to work.
All mods work fine for all versions of the game that have appeared over the past few years. For game version 1.3.7, all mods work for sure. I checked. Mod "Simplify" works for version 1.3.7! In general, update 1.3.7 was purely formal and did not bring any new changes to the game code. ______________________________________ How to install Mod "Simplify":

If you encounter problems installing mods or engines for working with mods (Patcher, Redirector, Utilities, etc.),
then most likely the problem lies in the following:
