----- Lakeside Manor, Dennywood's version -----
---By Dennywood and Mithanas---

0. Overview

Adds a little manor at the end of the black road, west of Chorrol, by a pond. They house is fully functional, with a living room, living quarters, library and basement. In one of the plugins, there's also two NPCs included as house servants, who will wander around and do chores around the house.

1. Explanation behind the mod

Dennywood once uploaded a beautiful screenshot of a player home she made herself. I remember one of the comments praising her work (as they should!) and her replying to it by saying that she would be open to the idea of someone contacting her and making a separate plugin of her mod. I decided to become that person, and contacted her via private message, and then we worked for weeks and months to bring the mod from one of her savegames to a separate plugin for everyone to play with.

2. Requirements

Oblivion and Shivering Isles, which i'm sure most people have by 2023

3. Installation

No complicated instructions here! As always, drop the files in the Data folder and activate the plugin. It's an .esp file so it should be self contained, and easy to install and uninstall.

4. Compatibility patches

As we noticed, the location on the Tamriel worldspace we used is pretty adored by much people, and many modders decided to also place homes and mods here. Most mods work fine separately most of the times, but oblivion handles the terrain in a very weird way, letting the last mod loaded on the load order affect the most to the terrain. This will mean that, if terrain changes were done (Which will surely have, let's be honest) the structures may clip through the ground or float in the sky. We have prepared several patches for several mods so they can coexist peacefully, and not mess up with the terrain beyond repair.

These are:

-Lakeside Manor & Tona Mods Store
-Lakeside Manor & Lakeside Home by Emma
-Lakeside Manor and Pinewood
-Lakeside Manor and all of the other three combined.

A word of advice I can give is that you run the LandMagic utility too, just to make sure everything is correct. If by any chance there's any mods in the nearby area that alter the terrain or get affected, feel free to make yourself a patch with the construction set or contact me with the information.

5. Issues

There should be none, however, be sure to read the previous paragraph!!

Any mod that modifies the same place in the Tamriel worldspace will cause conflict, we have provided fixes for the few we know but if there's any mod that also edits that cell, it will conflict. Check the previous paragraph!

Also! For the NPCs, you'll need HGEC for the maid dress. The Gardener uses vanilla clothing so he should be fine. It's also advisable to use a compatibility skeleton such as corneras!

6. Credits and acknowledgements

First, a disclaimer: A lot of mods were free to use, and we used them as resources. Some others weren't clear if we could use them or not, but since Dennywood originally used them and I wanted to replicate her work as closely as possible, we used them anyways. Whenever we could, we asked the creators of the content for their permission. We want to respect the creators wishes as much as possible, for their talent is what made this mod possible aswell. However, some of them are not active, or haven't been for years. We thought that contacting them may not prove fruitful and decided to keep going, but in any case, if you're one of the creators of these mods and you wish that we leave your content and resources alone, feel free to come to our DMs and letting us know. We'll change whatever we used from your mods, and we'll respect your wishes.

And now, the credits begin!

As always, Bethesda for making oblivion. But most importantly, Dennywood, who endured weeks and months of me going into her dms with incessant messages and updates, and who attention to detail and imagination planted the seed for this project.
