Hi All! Re: Changes to v1.2:

Updated the description page to clarify exactly what issues this mod addresses. This is a very simple mod. If it's not mentioned in the description, then this mod doesn't do it!

The OOO patch that was previously included with this mod is no longer needed!!

The issue it was aiming to fix was the boss drop from the quest "Shadows in a Struggle for Power". A fix for this has now been included in the main OOO mod (quite a while ago, but I wasn't paying attention..).

    See OOO changelog:

"v1.5.12 * Made the Reaver of Ghuul Icxth lootable, in case his sword doesn't drop."

There is no longer any reason to use the OOO patch (or to complain here about it).

    Cheers!

Think I found a bug. When you shield bash an enemy and make them drop their weapon, if they pick it back up and continue fighting, upon death they will have 2 of the same weapon. I was able to reproduce this.

Separately, after altering leveled lists, I notice some weapons still fall to the floor on death?

Hey, so this mod essentially just changes one single game setting (iDeathDropWeaponChance). It affects whether enemies drop weapons on death or keep it on their person. Nothing else.

I said as much in the stickied post in the comments: "Updated the
description page to clarify exactly what issues this mod addresses. This
is a very simple mod. If
it's not mentioned in the description, then this mod doesn't do it!"

Why do you think this duplication behavior is caused by this mod?

Are you using a 'shield bash' mod? Otherwise this is a vanilla game bug.

No, I'm not using a shield bash mod. The problem is completely fixed when uninstalling your mod.

Then it's a vanilla bug. Again; this mod just changes one game setting (it's my most low effort and, for some reason, most poular mod..). The only adjustment I could make is to flip the setting back from off to on...

Always make sure to be careful regarding the effects your mod has. Even if you don't explicitly do something, undesired things may happen - this is Bethesda modding.

Please test this yourself, get back to me when you can. I have no idea how to stop this problem, so for now I'm uninstalling the mod. Let me know if you find a fix for this

Just a heads up, SB. This same guy was talking trash towards you in the New Oblivion Modding Community Discord server at the time he initially made his comment and got timed out due to being generally disrespectful, which led him to leaving in anger.

"Another one: SB Weapon Drop fix. This mod is now the enemy, f*#@ this mod".

He of course also doubled down on this supposed issue with your mod, complained about your responses being unreasonable and whatnot.

Ah it's just a game, silly thing for anyone to be fighting over. Let's say no more on it...

There's no need to listen to Yin. A loathsome character who loves to start sh*t. What he quoted (from like 2 weeks ago) has been taken out of context - of course, I don't want to argue over such trivial issues with another mod author. Of course, I don't wish ill on a mod author because their mod has a bug, lol. All I did was report issues with your mod / conflicting mods.

Indeed SturdyBuzzer, indeed. Most of us are all ultimately simply trying to enjoy this game and make other users happy when possible after all. Hopefully, Booby can find peace someday himself as well. He was unfortunately quite insulting and arrogant because he could not accept his black and white way of thinking being challenged. Gotta love it when they always say "out of context" though, haha.
In any case SB, have a good one.

Edit: Considering how clearly spiteful he continues to be, it would appear he likely needs more time to heal.

Probably because the weapons and undead are classed as different entities rather that components?

Can this work with the Remaster release?  If so, how to install?

How does this differ from floating weapon fix?

This one is using OBSE to avoid the bloat in your saves and I believe the way the weapon/shield drops are handled. Stops some of the clipping that the other mod was doing, where you could still grab the weapons from the inventory but the weapons were still clipping through the ground. Also again like I said there was a bloat problem where the weapons were being flagged as player-owned and not NPC owned.

Does the other mod cause bloat? How?

For those using this mod, beware the OOO Filter patch as it does crash the game upon initially striking a "Spectral Warrior." Forgo it's use at the moment specifically. The main plug-in appears to be fine, but does not include the function(s) for the filter patch.

I prefer the original over this. It basically functions the same but doesn't take up a load slot like this one does.

well, the original had some problems, as you can read in the comments (and as I remember from using it back then), SB version fixed those problems; an esp slot for a good (and bug free) anti-bloat fix for me is totally worth it!

(You can read the actual differences between the two mods a few comments down here, at the end of the page)

Does this fix the problem with Shadowrend that the other mod didn't?

YOu have to fight yourself in Shivering Isles, a sword is supposed to drop, but the other mod made it so the sword didn't drop.

The OOO filter ESP mod made the spectral and the ghostly warriors crash.

Are there any differences between this mod and Floating weapons Fix?
