Is the quest supposed to end after I invite the brother to live in the palace? I have it stuck in my quest list, so I'm not sure if I'm missing something.
I like the direction this mod is going. Also, I think it would be pretty neat if the zealots and heretics were expanded all over the isle with new territories as if their taking over, so to further increase NPC battles across the island.
That's the idea. There's certainly a lot of space for expansion as very few mods have changed anything in the Isles. That leaves me less worried about compatibility issues.
As you said, there are few mods for the isles even now and lots of room to expand it (heck, the isles has so few overhaul mods, it's pretty much like an experimental playground for potential improvements, imo.). I look forward to seeing where this mod goes (if expanding further than just the Dukes - which is still good), but as for some people like myself, the Shivering Isles is kinda' nostalgic, as silly as it sounds, and would love to see the Isles greatly improved if possible, at this point, lol.
Some conflicts with the Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch, have you thought about carrying its changes forward into your mod? Affected records are 000122E5, 0004FE12, 0004FE13 (SENSPalace, SEManiaGarden and SEDementiaGarden).
Actually I considered making USIP mandatory but decided not to yet. I'm very new to TES4Edit and I'm wondering if there's a way to make USIP changes compatible with mine without making it an dependency and auto-cleaning afterwards?
The changes being carried forward do not require USIP or any other new masters to be added to the mod. They are just general fixes. I managed to carry them forward in just a couple minutes in TES4Edit. It is a simple graphic editor yet it is highly valuable and powerful. I encourage you to look into the documentation to get familiar with it, I am hopeless with the CK yet can be good with xEdit as it is easier to use. I have the Shivering Isles - New Dukes.esp which carries forward the USIP changes if you are interested in uploading it as an optional file or simply inspecting it in xEdit.
in one of the pictures i see that the golden saints have shiny armor what kind of retexture mod could this be because i would like to include it in my game
