Name: The UESP Easter Egg Mod Version: 1.0 Date: 11/07/2011 Category: Dungeons and Locations Author(s): Jakarius, Shadow, The Tom Source: Forum: http://forums.uesp.net/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=18458
Description =========== This mod adds a village filled with NPCs and references based on the people of the UESP Forums. There are many things to see and do and the content is being expanded upon all the time.
Details ======= This mod is a collaboration of all the creativity and ideas of many members of the UESP Forums. Put together by a handful of modders, this mod is a way of the Forum putting itself out there in a way that is original. It has faced many hardships from its birth to its current condition, this being the third incarnation and the first time released to the world at large. The mod adds the UESP Village which is in the Gold Coast region near Lord Drad's Estate and the Brina Cross Inn. The NPCs that live in the Village are based off real people on the UESP Forum. There are several buildings which include houses, an Inn, an Art Gallery filled with "paintings" that are screenshots submitted by Forum members and a cave where a friendly goblin cooks fried rat. A map marker is added to the map at the start of the game so it should be easy to find the village. NOTE: This mod adds many modified items such as enchanted weaponry and foodstuffs. Many of these are potentially over powered in price/damage or otherwise, if you feel like complaining about this, don't, they are not overpowered if you don't pick them up and use them. We trust in your own self control to not ruin your own fun with overpowered items.
Install ======= 1. Extract the files to a temporary location. 2. Examine the folder structure and make corrections where necessary. 3. Copy files to (install folder)\Oblivion\Data\ 4. Start Oblivion Launcher, click 'Data Files', place a checkmark beside the .esp file(s).
Uninstall ========= 1. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, uncheck the .esp file(s). 2. Delete the files/folders associated with the mod.
I have heard that this mod used to conflict with Elseweyr: Deserts of Anequina. At that point I was not in full control of the mod and so I don't know if this is still an issue. I would appreciate more information on this.
Until further testing is done I don't know what incompatibilities may be present, I shouldn't think there is anything game breaking but be on the lookout because as with any mod strange things can happen.
Known Issues or Bugs ==================== Occasionally NPCs that shouldn't be there have appeared in the Village, I currently uncertain why this is.
History ======= Back in the mists of time, The UESP Easter Egg Mod was born. 08/08/2010, The mod was restarted by Shadow. 03/07/2011, The mod was revived by Jakarius. 11/07/2011, V1 was released to the public.
