hey i wonder if its possible to have the music start to fade out the lower the health?
i remember they did it well in brutal legend The lower your health the more black/white the screen got the more the music started to fade to low quality static
That'd be nice because it creates a sense of panic when low on health
I really like this mod but I would like to add another effect to the saturation decrease, like a subtle blur or increased contrast, but I have problems doing that. The readme of ScreenEffects does not provide enough information, or at least I don't get it to work. Would be great if someone could help me with that.
Other than that, I find the effect starts too early and saturation gets reduced too much with the original settings of this mod, so I modified it to slowly start decreasing saturation only if the player's health is below 50% and make it stop at around 10%, so that a little color still remains.
Needs a matching sound effect i.e. heart rate / pulse but otherwise works perfectly and is probably the best immersive health indicator. Now I just need to be able to get rid of the magicka bar and compass
Thanks for the encouragement everyone; v1.1 of SHI (yes I'm using an acronym now, got a problem with that?) has been WIP for months even though it's been pretty wel finished for all that time. The fine tuning and fulll testing takes a lot of time. Hopefully however SHI 1.1 will be released before the end of August. Feel free to send me angry emails if it isn't out by September.
I just try out this mod and I like it a lot. I'm trying o fine a way to play this game without all the unless icons. For example the weapon icon. I play with third person view and I can see which weapons are selected. Don't understand why hey would have that icon there. Anyway this mod help me out a lot since I don't have to look t how much health I got while in a big fight.I gave it a 10.
A simple yet exceedingly immersive Mod that is definitely going on my short list of "Must Haves". My only suggestion would be the same as others have made- decrease the health amount at which the saturation starts to fall, and give us more options on the effects.
I'm pleased to see that you're working on expanding the Mod and look forward to seeing what else you can get it to do.
@Malinthebeast Good point I'll be addressing that in the forthcomming (but not that forthcomming so keep downloading this version for now) release of SHI v1.1. Thanks all for the encouragement and suggestions.
dickay and PseronWyrd, Currently I'm unable to isolate the seperate colours, however I'm working on an optional .esp, as PseronWyrd suggested, that will add other effects when the player's health is low etc.
Thanks for the comments and as I say, if there are any problems or suggestions please post.
