    Public Service Announcement:

On 8-29-17, the author of 7-Zip released version 17.01 beta, which can be found at the 7-Zip.org Homepage. (Top, right-hand side)

Although listed as a beta, it has been running great for me on Win10.

I don't recommend version 17.00, as according to the author, "7-Zip 17.00 beta ignored "Use large memory pages" option".

Want to customize 7-Zip's icons, toolbars, etc.? Check out 7-Zip Theme Manager.
It hasn't been updated in a while but works with the current 7-Zip version & on Windows 10. Be sure to get 2.1 AND the 2.1.1 hotfix.

Inithis, 7-Zip will open any archive uploaded to the Nexus. Winzip and WinRAR will too but they are not freeware like 7-Zip.

darthrevan4513, most everything you do with 7-Zip will be done using the context-sensitive explorer menu. When right-clicking on an archive, you will see a 7-zip menu where you can Open or Extract To a folder or create a new archive from selected files and folders.

Marineberry, no. It works better and it is free...unlike WinRAR. I think if you read the description and tutorials, it will answer your questions.
