Sundown over Arazzo.
Note how the Realistic HD Night Sky brings the JPEG process into trouble XD.
@tobjoern and @maczopikczo, I have culled the trees (<console>TT) and the palms are still standing there and have shadows! So, technically, they are no trees, right? :-)

Oh, and you know the trick - from time to time you just need to use a difficult word like "enigma" or "metropolis". This way you put everyone else to shame ;P
These palm trees are really not trees. It is not possible to do palm tree visible in game (spt file). Oblivion don't read of so-called "fronds". It can be easy done in Speed Tree, but it will be never visible in game.
There are two ways to solve this problem.
First: You can do palm as nif file (ie static object). Palm trees in Ubanga are static.
Second way: You can avoid using "fronds". Palm trees will have short leaves like Chamaerops humilis (no long like Date palm). I didn't do it yet, but it is possible.
I will do it later.

Maybe it is possible "unblock" visibility of "fronds" in game.
But it is a task for computer scientists.

By the way!
I've made better orange trees, fig trees and new tree (Albizia)
A lot of work for Macz!

Believe it or not, last night I was making a new texture for... weeping fig (ficus benjamina), and was looking at the orange trees, collecting suitable photos
Albizia looks like a beautiful tree - it will be great pleasure to see it in Ubanga (and possibly to make a large texture for it). Seems quite difficult - lots of tiny details.

Technically, I'd guess: yes.
Tesa, I dunno much (to be honest, nothing^^) about modding the trees. Instead I would refer to macz's modding experiences with grasses, shrubs and (of course) trees, - not to forget alimal's informative reply.
I've always liked realistic night sky, although I've been using a different one.
If the palms are still standing and drop shadow I'd say they are tough sturdy bastards ;P
