About this mod
Adds the German Gewehr 43 battle rifle chambered in .308 to the game with scripted LLs and two mods, featuring animations by Hax0o.

This might be my favorite rifle and I wanted to make a version that would fit in alongside newer weapon replacers and add-ons like WAP/NVRA and AWO. These assets were ported from Day of Infamy and set up to function with Hax0o's G43 kNVSE set.
Also want to give much love to MTindle for his G43 published all the way back in 2013, I've been using that mod since I was a wee lad. This one isn't any kind of upgrade on that mod but it's a different option if you like to play with the kind of higher-poly weapons that have been added to NV over the past few years.
It's balanced against the vanilla Battle Rifle (still chambered in .308, trading a little bit of damage for a larger ammo capacity and a faster rate of fire) and best functions as a mid to late game weapon. You can buy the gun and the mods from Gun Runners as well as a couple of other vendors scattered around the wasteland. It should also appear on higher-level Legion troops.
Two naming options are included- the default .esp names the gun the "Grenadier Carbine" (fun fact- in 1944 the gun was officially renamed to the Karabiner 43 because it was actually a bit shorter than the standard Kar98) to fit in with vanilla naming schemes and the alternate .esp simply presents it as the G43.

Install:
Download the main file and install with MO2 (or drop into your data folder if you still roll like that).
If you want the real-world naming download the optional .esp second and select merge in MO2 (or just overwrite the original .esp if you're put it straight into your data folder).

Known issues:
- Weapon may show up in your hand when sprinting with it equipped but holstered with JAM. I have no idea why this happens. If you can help lmk)
- Whoever did the UV map for this gun is a weirdo and there's some texture tearing around the grip as well but it's covered by the player's hand in 1st person
- You may run into some very minor clipping around the grip with certain armors
