I hate seams, i'm forced to use millenia shinyblue cubemap because its still the best one around but it's not orientated right. so i fix it and made a few examples using extremely high resolution photos (also some photo i took in game). i had this sitting on my ssd for almost a year now so i took some time to actually write up a tutorial.
i included a tutorial & template PSD on how you can do it to hopefully its clear enough for people to understand.
I included a fixed up version and higher resolution version of the amazing shinyblue_e.dds from Millenia, it will override her old ones if you use any of my mods. the other cubemaps are not use by anything but feel free to try them out.
HOW TO MAKE 360 Panorama from ingame:
1. download ICE (Image Composite Editor) 2. go in game, record a video of you standing in one spot, no menu, freeze the game (tfc 1), move, pan the camera around as many direction as possible or as you want 3. open ICE 4. press new panorama from video 5. wait for it to load 6. go to stitch, pick a projection that works. i forgot which one i use for my example 7. go to crop, make sure your crop go from edge to edge horizontally. 8. save 9. open your saved image in photoshop and resize it to a resolution that have the ratio of 2:1 (4096x2048, 2048x1024, etc). if you have weird artifact you can brush it out in photoshop too. 10. follow the rest of the tutorial
