This mod brings my take on the SOCOM pistol system and the MGS Sneaking Suit into New Vegas, done up with base-game assets and incorporated naturally into the setting.

Overview:
I am a huge fan of the Metal Gear Solid franchise, and I wanted to try my hand at recreating the iconic H&K Mk23 SOCOM pistol featured prominently in MGS1 and MGS2.
This mod requires Honest Hearts and Old World Blues
What this mod does:
This mod adds a new unique firearm, a variant of the .45 Auto Pistol, called the .45 Auto SOCOM, which can be found in the X-13 Stealth Research Facility in Big Mountain. It's located behind a force field in the first room, so make sure to upgrade the Sonic Emitter before going to X-13. This weapon is fantastic for stealth- as its high critical damage allows you to make the most of your sneak attack criticals. This weapon is also compatible with the perks Grunt and The Professional, making it an incredibly viable late-game weapon.
This mod also comes with a new variant of the Assassin Suit and the Stealth Suit, called the Sneaking Suit. The Sneaking Suit comes in a nice classy gray, and is paired with a unique matching bandana for all your tactical espionage needs. It's light armor like the assassin suit, but sacrifices some protection for added stat boosts and lowered weight. It's the ideal light armor alternative to the Mark 2 Aural Stealth Suit. It can be found right alongside the SOCOM, in a chest beside the gun.
Known issues / Conflicts:
This mod alters the cells of The Sink, and the first area of the X-13 Facility. The changes to The Sink are minor, only the inclusion of a new vendor container. The changes to X-13 are a little more elaborate, but only affect the room where the items are located.
When you load into the game for the first time in a session, the laser sight on the SOCOM won't shut off when you holster it, and it must be unequipped and then re-equipped before the laser will turn off correctly. This is not something I can fix, as it is an issue present in the base game's laser sights as well.
There is also some weirdness with the arms of the Sneaking Suit when aiming in 3rd person. Again, this is a base game issue with the Assassin Suit / Stealth Suit models, and not something I plan on fixing for the Sneaking Suit.
All inclusions on perk lists, leveled lists, and vendors have been done via script- so this mod should be fairly lightweight and compatible with most others.
