Rather than destroying or making a truce with the Brotherhood, this mod allows you to just convince them that they are better off leaving the Mojave and traveling to the Sierra Madre, Big MT, or the Divide.

== Overview ==

I think there are many strong arguments for why the Brotherhood is bad for the Mojave, and signing a truce with them may only be a short-term solution. However, it's understandable that players might not want to destroy them outright.

This mod offers a third option: convincing the Chapter to leave the Mojave and relocate to a place where they're actually needed.
For this dialogue option to be available, Elder McNamara must remain the Elder after the lockdown is lifted as Hardin doesn't seem like the type to retreat. Convincing McNamara to take the Chapter out of the Mojave requires a high Speech skill check unless you have already become a member of the Brotherhood, in which case the Speech check is not necessary. The dialogue option will not be available if you already negotiated a truce with BoS and the NCR.

Players have four options for suggesting new locations for the Brotherhood:
  • The Sierra Madre (requires completion of the Dead Money DLC)
  • Big MT (requires completion of the Old World Blues DLC)
  • The Divide (requires completion of the Lonesome Road DLC)
  • Anywhere but the Mojave (requires a +90 Speech skill check)
For the first three options, the Brotherhood will relocate to the specified DLC location. The last option simply removes them from the game and they disappear.

Once the Brotherhood departs from the Mojave, they are flagged as "destroyed" in-game, similar to what would happen if you had destroyed their bunker. This change shouldn't affect Veronica; she will remain available as a companion. This is so you can progress in the main quests as if the Brotherhood had been "destroyed." Consequently, the dialogue with Moore / House / Caesar when you tell them the Brotherhood was destroyed will remain the same (although  "<Lie>" has been added to the prompt for immersion).

Make sure to complete any Brotherhood-related quests before they leave the Mojave. This includes Veronica's companion quest, giving ED-E to the Brotherhood for study, or becoming a member of the Brotherhood. Those quests will either fail or become unavailable once the Brotherhood leaves the Mojave. An in-game warning message will remind you of this.

== Compatibility ==

This mod has integrated support for FPGE, The Living Desert, and Better Brotherhood so there is no need for patches. I recommend sorting FPGE below this mod.

If you are playing with Claim the Mojave and send the Brotherhood to Big MT, they will occupy only the Forbidden Zone Dome rather than the Think Tank Dome to prevent the two mods from conflicting.

Should be compatible with TTW.

If you want to visit the Brotherhood at the Sierra Madre, you will need a mod that allows you travel back such as Dead Money Tweaks or Kezyma's Sierra Madre Revisited.
