About this mod
This mod serves to diversify and improve the stats and worth of the Wasteland and Republican outfits so it wont be as irrelevant in your game, or only sharing one specific bonus across all sets.
But only to a degree so as not be overpowered or balance breaking.

Well it's been a long time coming ever since my first Uniquely Balanced Variants where I stumbled upon the injustice that was the Wasteland gear having better stats and DT than Merc gear.
And now, it's time I finally rid this wrong once and for all.
In this little edit of mine, I will mostly be nerfing certain parts about the Wasteland set, such as their DT or having two SPECIAL stats, but I will also be working on the Wasteland Doctors set, and the Roving Trader set.
On the Republican side I will actually give them a boost in stats, but nerfing their overall VAL. *like seriously, 180 caps for a common outfit that gives 2 DT? Are you serious?
I've also now added in the various Cowboy hats and Dusters you could find throughout your travels, I figured that it'd be fitting given how often you find wastelanders wearing these hats or dusters. The Desperado Hat and Sheriff set in particular was nagging me.
I know that the Courier Duster technically counts, but I don't really know how best to tackle that yet so for the time being this wont affect that.
For more information, you can refer to the Table of Contents down further below about what these changes specifically bring.

Requirement
For one of the Perk Bonuses for the Desperado Hat, the Fight the Power perk bonus, you need the Honest Hearts dlc.
Installation
You can just install this with your mod manager or manually place it in your Data file in your game's root directory. Like my other UBV mod, It's a very basic .esp file.
Note:
- As this mod only affects Vanilla armor stats, it should be compatible with just about anything so long as it doesn't manipulate the specified armor.
- It was also made with YUP in mind, so you should definitely load this underneath YUP as it is already technically patched for it.
- If you load it above YUP or any other mods that alter these specific armor, expect it to not have any changes.
There is a main file which consists of all four major edits.
And if one of these don't strike you fancy none, you can simply download one from the list of optional and misc sections.
Table of Contents:
Wasteland Outfits
*Some of these will also receive +1 DT to help drive in that fact home.
*But as a "civilian" clothing, it wont reach 2 DT like before.
*Wasteland Settler is commonly associated with the poor and downtrodden of the Mojave, aka the Beggars.
*As a result, Wasteland Settler gets -1 CHA and +2 Barter to help reflect that fact.
*Wasteland Wanderer and Brahmin-skin only received DT and VAL changes.
*Wasteland Surgeon is the more bloody version of Wasteland Doctor, as a result it is considered to be the "dirty" version.
*Roving Trader received the largest buffs, as I felt very inspired by its unique look.
*Due to the many pockets and trinkets dangling from the outfit, Roving Trader gets +50 Carry WGH.
*While I've "nerfed" the hat on its own, if it's combined with the full outfit, it will receive its old +5 Barter instead of only +2.
*This is to help encourage wearing the two together as a set.
*For a while I struggled with giving Motorcycle Helmet an identity, that was until I realized that Motorcycle, Construction, and Fire Helmet all had a similar
theme, and that is being protective safety gear. And what better way to represent that than +1 END?
*Compared to the two however, Motorcycle has half as much durability as Construction, but it easier and cheaper to get.
*Fire Helmet has the special honor of +3% Fire Resistance. I gave them that seeing how most fire hats are made with flame retardant material.
*Due to the Fireman association with chopping obstacles with their Firefighter Axe, the hat now gives +2 Melee Weap.
*As a symbol of Old World Authority, Police Hat gets a modest +2 in Guns and Speech.
*However, if you have Good Karma you get +1 CHA instead of +2 Speech for properly representing the pre-war values of justice.
*Bandanas and Head Wraps now give bonus to END, as items you'd wear during the heat of day or when working labor.
*Bandanas offer slight bonus to AP to reflect its attitude as a quickly worn item, and have 0 WGH just like the Head Wraps. (It also helps the Khans fight better)
*Head Wraps offer slight bonus to Repair due to its association with Bikers and Mechanics, and have actual VAL just like Bandanas.
*Both of these have Unique variants which has increased EFF compared to the normal variants.

Republican Outfits
*All of the Republican outfits have their WGH rebalanced to put it more in line with most clothes.
*The DT of Republican outfits have been reduced down to 0 as they are mostly just regular clothes compared to what Wastelanders wear.
*Their VAL have been massively nerfed as it was originally such an obscene amount.
*However their VAL have also stayed ahead of most Wasteland outfits by at least half.
*Both Settler and Field hand have a focus on the more labor and grueling side of life, giving them both survival, and +1 End for Settler.
*Prospector's stats were largely inspired by Easy Pete's description of it.
*Prospector gives you +1 PER to locate valuables easier, as well as bonuses to lockpicking and explosives.
*Caravaneer have generally weaker stats compared to Roving Trader, but given the visual difference between the two it's not surprising.
*However Caravaneer is 3 WGH lighter and have +2 Speech, it is recommended for the early game and can help your Carry WGH still.

- EFF: +[Barter +5, Speech +2, Carry WGH +25 lbs]
Cowboy Hats
*This affects mainly all the normally attainable hats with the exception of the Desperado Hat.
*I've also added in special perk interactions, if you have the Cowboy perk, you get a bonus +1 Guns and +3 Survival. (enjoy your cowboy rp)
*The Desperado hat is a little bit different in that instead of it being a "cowboy" hat, it's more closer to the idea of a Desperado rebel/fugitive.
*Compared to the Cowboy hats which have a focus on Survival, the Desperado throws that to the wind and is all in on Guns instead.
*The perk interactions for Desperado is two fold.
*One is the normal Cowboy perk which does grant some Survival but not a lot.
*The second primary interaction however, is with the Fight the Power perk, which in recognition for embracing the life of a rebel, you get +15 bonus to AP.
Cowboy Hats:
- VAL: 8 > 20
- EFF: [PER +1] > [PER +1, Guns +2, Survival +2] + Perk Bonus:[Guns +1, Survival +3]
- HP: 15 > 40
- VAL: 8 > 30
- EFF: [PER +1] > [PER +1, Guns +5] + 2 Perk Bonus:[AP +15/Survival +2]
Dusters
*The Sheriff set has a focus on CHA and Guns, as well as a special interaction with Karma.
*The Sheriff Hat is similar to the Police Hat in stats, however it only gets +2 Speech if worn with the uniform as without it there's no identifying feature.
*Much like the Police Hat, having Good Karma while wearing the Sheriff Duster gives you +1 CHA instead of +2 Speech.
*This helps create the sense that your badge actually means something to the people of the wasteland.
*The Bounty Hunter set meanwhile has a focus on Guns and Barter.
*While the Regulator Duster, being worn only by the Lonesome Drifter, has less focus on combat to better match his character, and instead provides +5 to
Speech and Survival while having the lowest DT and WGH of them all.
Sheriff's Hat:
- DT: 0 > 1
- EFF: [PER +1] > [PER +1, Guns +2] + Set Bonus:[Speech +2]
- DT: 0 > 4
- VAL: 35 > 140
- WGH: 3 > 5
- EFF: [CHA +1, Guns +5] > [AGL +1, Guns +5, Speech +2] + Karma Bonus:[CHA +1]
Bounty Hunter Duster:
- VAL: 70 > 140
- WGH: 3 > 5
- EFF: [CHA +1, Guns +5] > [AGL +1, Guns +5, Barter +5]
- DT: 0 > 2
- EFF: [CHA +1, Guns +5] > [AGL +1, Speech +5, Survival +5]
*It's not much, but it's honest work~*
