About this mod

This mod serves to diversify and improve the stats and worth of the Pre-War, Gambler, and Formal outfits so it wont be as irrelevant in your game, or only sharing one specific bonus across all sets.

But only to a degree so as not be overpowered or balance breaking.

Description

I was recently made aware that all of the Pre-War clothes, regardless if clean or not shared the exact same stats, and I thought "That's not right...".

So, I started working on a mod similar to my previous Uniquely Balanced Variants, and as I started working on them I also started including more into it.

Now, this mod consists of edits and balancing tweaks across all Pre-War, Gambler, and Formal sets. Anything that might be considered "Pre-War", "Gambler" or "Formal" on the Wiki is included in this.

You can refer to the Table of Contents for more information about what these changes bring.

Check out my other Uniquely Balanced Variants:

Installation

You can just install this with your mod manager or manually place it in your Data file in your game's root directory. Like my other UBV mod, It's a very basic .esp file.

Note:

  • As this mod only affects Vanilla armor stats, it should be compatible with just about anything so long as it doesn't manipulate the specified armor.
  • This mod includes a mesh file from Essential Vanilla Enhancements Merged/Female White Glove Society Mask Fix for the White Glove Mask. There exists an alternative release in the Main Files if you don't want that for whatever reason.
  • It was also made with YUP in mind, so you should definitely load this underneath YUP as it is already technically patched for it.
  • If you load it above YUP or any other mods that alter these specific armor, expect it to not have any changes.

00-Uniquely Balanced Variants for Pre-War - Gambler - Formal Outfits is the main file, which consists of all the 3 major edits.

Optionally, there are also versions of the esp you can download that splits the 3 major edits into its own individual files. If you like one of these but don't like the others, you can just download one of the optional ones.

A Compatibility patch has been made for the mod Fallout New Vegas Vanilla Hat Fix as I personally use it, if you want hair that clips through armor, dowload that instead of the regular Main File. Do not download both together!

Table of Contents:

*All suits now have 2 WGH instead of just 1 to match the Pre-War clothes.

*Suave Gambler Hat gets +2 to Guns due to it being an Indiana Jones reference and how relatively early you can get it.

*This bonus does not appear when changing hat first clothes second, but can be resolved by either exiting and reentering your pipboy, or by reequipping clothes first hat second.

*Aside from the hats, there are really only two "Formal Outfits" and both share a model.
*Due to this both share the same stats with some minor differences.

*Formal clothes have a focus towards CHA and Speech.
*Formal clothes also now have increased WGH to match Pre-War clothing WGH.
*The AGL bonus is to match the White Glove's ability to kickass while wearing a suit, as well as to give Veronica a bonus if she wears this dress.

*The White Glove Society Attire have +10 VAL compared to the Formal Wear, because of its special ability to disguise you as a member.

*Tuxedo Hat and White Glove Society Mask both have a set bonus when worn with their respective clothing.
*Tuxedo Hat is Barter oriented, while the Mask is Speech focused.
