Are you sure you commented on the right mod lol? Stewie's Tweaks does not edit weapon damage, to my knowledge. But Sweep might be what you are looking for.
hello i been running into something silly, plasma weapons can insta drop the player, im playing on super hard and any plasma weapon is just insta kill, no matter the health or dt/dr
Since the max level is 100 will enemies scale with player past level 50 and up to 100?
Also, is the reason limitless stats are enabled to go to 200 rather than 100 to account for the player character reaching level 100? I would think the stat level being 100 might be insufficient if enemies are scaling up to level 100 and hitting harder than I can dish out and that's the reason it's at 200.
Just trying to figure out if these two settings being enabled could potentially break the game or not, like make me too overpowered.
Good question! I genuinely don't know how exactly level scaling works in New Vegas and Fallout 3, buuttt... I think it is dynamic and should be ok. New Vegas bumped up it's max level from 30 to 50, and Fallout 3 bumped up it's max level from 20 to 30, and both games worked fine. Worst case scenario, enemies will be too easy, which can be solved using the mod Benny Humbles You, if you don't like that.
Yes, the reason the stats are raised to 200 is because the level cap is raised to 100, so you have some more reason to level up. Most skill stats above 100 will not effect the player, because the game is not programmed for anything above level 100. For instance, the max speech check around New Vegas and Fallout 3 is 100, and there is nothing above 100. It's pointless to go above 100. Maybe I, or someone else, will make a mod, that gives stats above 100 meaning.
No setting will break the game, I tested them. However, you may be overpowered. But, that is intentional, because by the time you finish:
New Vegas, you will be level 30 (or level 20 for Fallout 3)
New Vegas + Fallout 3, you will be level 50
New Vegas + DLC's + Fallout 3 + DLC's, you will be level 80
So, by the time you have beaten Fallout 3 and New Vegas, you will reach the max level of the original New Vegas game (50), and after that, if you still want to do the DLC's, you will be above the max level. At which point, I think being overpowered is a good thing, because you will be bored of combat after seeing it thousands of times.
Using the JAM .esp for your mod can be an issue for those who also use the Weapon Hotkey Icons-JAM patch since both replace the main JAM .esp. I don't see the issue with creating a custom .esp just for your mod tho, especially when users can merge multiple small .esps with xEdit or zEdit fairly easy.
But if you want to merge your sounds with an .esp that everybody has and its pretty much never updated, Mod Configuration Menu would be the most obvious choice.
I'm confused. In the description at the bottom it says any mods listed in the requirements are incompatible, yet the recommended compatible mods are some of those mods, like compass height indicator faster sleep wait, and a couple others.
I worked on this mod for over a year and the parts you mentioned are outdated.
Recently the mod author of Stewie's Tweaks separated Compass Height Indicator and Faster Sleep Wait from the Stewie's Tweaks mod, and I forgot to remove those mods from the requirements section. So, it is now recommended that you have those mods. I will update/remove things from the requirements list.
Oh okay, thank you! No worries. I had a question though. I'm using a controller and I noticed that my character would look to the right or left as if I'm moving it slowly in that direction, I think its a sensitivity issue. Something to do with the joystick dead zones maybe? Do you know what setting it could possibly be in Stewie's Tweaks? I don't think it's something to do with the controller settings in the menu as I didn't touch those. I have Stewie's Essentials INI installed before yours in my load order, but I didn't have the sensitivity issue until I installed your curated file. Also, I installed the Vanilla file and the HUD and notifications aren't there. I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining, I was reading through the description of your mod and it sounded pretty sweet in addition to the Essentials INI from Stewie.
The setting you are looking for is bDisableControllerDeadzones and iControllerDeadzone. Try to increase the deadzone by 1000 first, then if that does not work, you can disable bDisableControllerDeadzones. I will increase the deadzone in the next update. I am just waiting for a bug fix to be dropped.
I accidentally uploaded the no hud version to the Vanilla version. If you re-download the vanilla version, there should be a HUD, but let me know if there is not.
Also, if you have this mod, you can delete "Stewie's Essentials INI" mod, because all of that mod is included in this mod.
I just can't get automatic reloading to disable. Searched for the word 'manual' in the Tweaks menu, no match. Searched all the options under a search for 'Reload', nothing in there about preventing automatic reloading. Opened the .ini in Notepad++ and found the options, set them, and they don't apply in-game.
I think the setting you are looking for is "Manuel Reload". In-game, search for "Manuel Reload" under "Settings" > "Tweaks". Once you found it, you have to set the slider (it's default is at 200) to 0, and uncheck the bottom checkmark box.
What I discovered (what I hadn't noticed/realized) was that StewieTweaks got split up into half a dozen individual mini-mods, and "Manual Reload" is no longer present in the main one.
For some reason the armor condition label won't appear, but the changes to the weapon label applies. Also with B42 FireMode the indicator of the RoF appears at far right corner of the UI, it's supossed to appear to the left of the ammo type and numbers automatically, dunno if this config is conflicting with that mod.

I hope this helps you decide what to do!

Edit: Updated the files with the Mod Configuration Menu.

Thank you for pointing that out.

Fixed now. Thanks for the reply, though. :)
