About this mod
When you interact with a cactus, you can use any bladed weapon to slice it open for a small amount of hydration. Sounds can be heard when slicing into cacti and drinking cactus water.

DETAILS
Have yet to find a mod that adds this feature so, here is another small mod for increasing immersion while roleplaying in the desert.
FEATURES
Barrel cacti and prickly pear cacti can be cut open and used for drinking water. Cacti are not sliced open unless a bladed or edged melee weapon is equipped. Once opened, dirty water is consumed along with a few rads when you take a sip. Sounds for slicing open and drinking the dirty cactus water will play right after activating any succulent cactus.
INSTALLATION
Choose only one version to install. For manual installation, extract the file to your game’s data folder. For a mod manager installation, install the file with your preferred mod manager.
COMPATIBLITY
This mod changes several lines in various activator scripts. Any mods that change the same scripts will conflict.
KNOWN ISSUES
Dirty water is consumed instead of cactus water, this will be fixed. Slicing into a cactus is a bit too loud for players with sensitive hearing and will be fixed in the next update.
PLANNED FEATURES
I am considering attempting an animation for this mod or a patch for an animation mod so that truly immersive cactus skinning and drinking gameplay can be achieved. A script runner version and a version that doesn't require NVSE is planned.
