FAQ
Spoiler:
Show
Q: The reload is too fast! A: I highly doubt that. Just in case, though: you have high Agility and/or Rapid Reload. They make animations look ugly. Vanilla animations were already ugly, so you never noticed.
Q: Unrealistic/not lore-friendly! A: Guns are stupid.
Q: What's the difference between this and the original FNV Clean Animations? A: I genuinely do not know how to answer this question. I think the description/video should make the differences very apparent.
Q: What FOV should I use? A: See the description--I borked a few things. Lower is better for these, I'm sorry to say.
Q: Will you make third-person animations? A: No.
Q: Will you apply these to other vanilla weapons/mod-added weapons? A: No. If you do a little bit of reading and have Notepad on your computer, though, you can do make and release patches yourself.
Q: I don't like this style of animation. Will you change it? A: No.
Q: Will you make animations for me? A: No. Sorry.
Q: Can you help me start animating? A: There are some old resources here if you want to be like myself and hitman and use blender 2.49b. As usual, I have also provided my own .blends here if it's less overwhelming to simply tweak my animations. If you want to join the modern age and use up-to-date versions of blender like the rest of the animators do, you're better off contacting them. But, ifyou go the old-school route, I'll help you out to the best of my ability/as much astime allows (which I cannot promise is very much).
I really like this animation but is there anyway the fix the iron sights other than isControl.ini. Even after using your settings and attempting to adjust myself it's still noticeably off.
There is, but I would involve a lot of re-doing and re-baking of animations that I don't want to do, and especially with a set that I'm sick of. Sorry. :( Maybe sometime in the future.
A quick fix if you're using MO2 is to hide the file called 2hrAimIS.kf . This is the animation for when you aim down the sights so if it is deleted the animation reverts to the vanilla while still retaining all the otrher animations like jam, equip/unequip, reload, etc. The only thing is when you shoot when holding aim down sights is that at the end of the shooting animation when you pull the bolt back it kind of flicks to the vanialla animation. But I'd rather that little flick at the end of each shot rather than the sights being mis aligned.
BTW if you're not using MO2 you could just delete the above file or just move it to somewhere else on your computer.
Well, the best fix these days is just to re-align stuff with ISControl Enabler in-game. Really easy to do. I'll be releasing a patch for all of the Part 2 sets a bit later, though.
Fire rate is basically the same, but technically slower by a couple of milliseconds (you won't notice). Reload time is significantly longer by a couple of seconds (you will notice).
Even so, it's nothing excessive, and should not impact balance dramatically.
The best anims for a hunting rifle no doubt, but misalignment spoils everything for me :( Hit's has the same issue. Johnsonn's are probably the only ones that aligned perfectly... Lack of jam tho xD
if i want to use this with hitman season anim, do i need to delete line that has hunting rifle in hitman json file? im kinda new into combining mod anim knvse
Yeah, if it's Hit's standalone Hunting Rifle, you can just delete the .json itself. If it's for the Season pack, then you need to open the .json and track down any entry that corresponds to the Hunting Rifle IDs and delete them.
Thanks! And nah--both Hitman and Sigerious already have really nice animations for those guns that I have nothing to add to, really. I'm going to do the FO3 Lever-Action Rifles, though.
