UPDATE: VERSION 2.1
After a long hiatus, I've recently gotten back into modding New Vegas. There are now TWO Main Files, one with stats that are consistent with vanilla Elite Riot Armor, and one with stats that are consistent with Vigor. The main difference is the weight of the body armor. Pick one or the other depending on how you are playing New Vegas.

DESCRIPTION
This mod adds a new set of armor to the game, designed for Couriers with high Science and Energy Weapons. It includes meshes for both vanilla body types. I have playtested both versions pretty extensively, and I've tried my best to fix as much clipping as possible. That being said, it's possible that I missed something. If you notice any egregious and abnormal clipping, please feel free to send me a screenshot and I will see what I can do to fix it. I welcome any and all constructive feedback, so feel free to comment!

LORE
I intended for this armor to be scavenged by the Courier using equipment and scrap that they found while in the Divide. It is obviously based upon the pre-war Riot Gear found in Hopeville. The Courier has modified the armor with their extensive Science skill, installing Energy-enhancing hardware that increases the damage output of all Energy Weapons and provides some shielding from enemy Energy attacks. This new hardware can be seen in the batteries and wiring running along the armor's back and right arm.

REQUIREMENTS
Lonesome Road DLC. The armor is made almost entirely of assets from Lonesome Road, and the main ingredients to craft it in-game are only found in the Divide, so this is a hard requirement.

HOW TO ACQUIRE

The Phoenix Armor has been pieced together by the Courier using scraps of armors and materials found in the Divide. The armor *cannot* be found anywhere in the game world, but can be crafted at a Workbench. Both the helmet and the armor require 50 Science to craft. As for the ingredients, I'll leave you to find that out on your own, but you can likely figure it out from the description and screenshots.

STATS
The armor is comparable to the Elite Riot Gear, but tweaked to suit a Science/Energy Weapon playthrough. The armor confers a bonus to Energy Weapons, Intelligence, Science, and Energy Resistance. The mask gives a bonus to Perception, as well as the Sneak Sight typical of other Riot Gear sets. The armor is repaired with the Combat Armor repair lists.

COMPATIBILITY
This mod should not have any conflicts. There are no world or cell edits, it simply adds the armors, their enchantments, and the recipes to craft them. The recipes are listed under a new subcategory for the Workbench, called Custom Armor. If you have other mods with similar subcategories there may be some
confusion, but no conflicts.

WHAT'S NEXT
This armor mod undoubtedly still has issues that need to be fixed, like clipping, UV problems, etc. This version of the mod should work perfectly fine in any game, but I'm not quite done with it. I'll be tweaking the meshes and textures for a while yet, getting it just right (or as close to just right as I can). I have a bunch of other cool and fun armor designs that I want to start working on, too!

If you download and enjoy the Phoenix set, please consider dropping an endorsement and check my files section in the future for more new stuff!

CREDITS
Cyberfey, (myself) for putting the meshes together in Nifskope and Blender, as well and customizing the textures in Procreate and GIMP.

user826, better known as MC Tammer. I don't use any of their assets in this mod, but this project would not have been possible without their incredible guides on nif-bashing, as well as their NIF-bashed Armor Mega Pack, which I dissected and studied extensively in Nifskope to figure out how all the nodes and texture paths worked.
