DESCRIPTION
This gun is clearly inspired by the COP .357 Derringer, sharing the same 2x2 stacked barrel design, break-top action and .357 Magnum chambering.

I started with the legacy-content .32 Pistol mesh and removed everything except for the hinge. I then added the frame from the 9mm Pistol, shrunk it down and cut off part of the grip to make it smaller. I also used the 9mm Pistol's sights and barrel, copying the latter four times and arranging them in a 2x2 stack. I then added the receiver from the .22 SMG and chopped it up to form the top section of the gun.

After I was done, I discovered I wasn't entirely happy with how blocky and top-heavy the gun looked, but I had been limited by the placement of the hinge and my desire to use only base-game parts. However, I've made available an alternate mesh that looks more like the real gun by adding the sights and trigger from the .45 Auto Pistol and re-making some of the pieces from the original mesh. If you have the Honest Hearts DLC, I highly recommend you use the alternate mesh instead.

Gameplay-wise, this weapon has very short range, but does the same damage as the .357 Revolver. It cannot be modded, but is considered a holdout weapon and can be smuggled into Strip casinos. I've also added the weapon to all the appropriate form lists, so that all perks and challenges that affect pistols (i.e. The Professional) will work as expected.

LOCATION
The weapon can be purchased from the Gun Runners and other vendors across the Wasteland, or found in random loot drops. Of course, if you're feeling lazy, you can always use the following console command (Substitute ## with the Mod Index of the plugin in your load order):

player.AddItem ##000ADE 1;Gives 1 Compact Off-Duty Police Derringer

Show
The Mod Index is a two-character hexadecimal code, with a value between 00 and FF, that can be found using a mod manager. It should be listed somewhere beside the name of the plugin. After finding the Mod Index, open the console in game using the tilde (~) key, and type Player.AddItem <FormID> 1

INSTALLATION
Extract all the files in the archive to your New Vegas data folder (which is the same folder where FalloutNV.esm is located) and then enable the ESP either in your mod manager of choice, or under "Data Files" in the launcher that runs when you start up New Vegas.
