DESCRIPTION
The Heckler & Koch MP5 submachine gun is perhaps the most iconic weapon of its class, having been used and trusted by militaries and law enforcement agencies the world over for more than fifty years and being the standard by which all others are judged. Therefore, it seems odd that such a widely-used weapon is missing from the Fallout universe, and with this mod, I aim to fix that oversight.

I started with the legacy-content Assault Rifle mesh and replaced the magazine with the Extended Mag from the 10mm SMG. I then shortened the receiver to fit the magazine, as well as shortening the handguard. I then cut a hole in the rear sight drum to create an aperture that could be used for sighting, and raised the front sight to align with the rear aperture to create a proper sight picture.

Gameplay-wise, this weapon is a fully-automatic 9mm submachine gun but does similar damage to the 10mm SMG. It can be modded with the 10mm Pistol Silencer, 9mm Pistol Scope and the Sniper Rifle Carbon Fiber Parts. I've also added the weapon to all the appropriate form lists, so that all perks and challenges that affect SMGs (i.e. The Professional) will work as expected.

LOCATION
The weapon can be purchased from the Gun Runners and other vendors around the Wasteland, or found in random loot drops. Of course, if you're feeling lazy, you can always use the following console command (Substitute ## with the number of the mod in your load order):

player.AddItem ##000ADE 1 ;Gives 1 Naval SMG

INSTALLATION
Extract all the files in the archive to your New Vegas data folder (which is the same folder where FalloutNV.esm is located) and then enable the ESP either in your mod manager of choice, or under "Data Files" in the launcher that runs when you start up New Vegas.
