Hi All, Just a quick note: If you experience excessive speed in the game, extremely quick animations or walking speeds, make the following change to the Fallout.ini and Fallout_default.ini. Set the following line fMaxTime to 0.0166, this will normalize the game speed.
Thanks to Cloud19 from YT.
Edit: I have now made an ENB that can be used for both fo3 and New Vegas that will help normalize the game speed if you experience excessive gameplay speeds. It can be found through this link to the fo3 version of this mod. Simply place it in the New Vegas game folder with the additional file download and it will correct the issue.
This is an absolute masterclass install video. Works like a charm. Now I just need to figure out why all of a sudden JIP CC&C stopped working. But I have no CTD issues, no framerate drops, or anything else major that screwed up my game.
Hi, sorry for some reason Nexus hasn't been alerting me of messages. Normally I would save the NVSE till last, also use the same version I use in the video.
Alternately to changing the name of the nvse launcher, you can add it as a non steam game and launch it that way too. This will allow you two steam launchers, 1 being to the standard launcher should you need to reset the hardware and a second for direct loading through the nvse from the steam library.
Not sure what JIP CC&C is, but if I could get a link I'll have a look to see what the issue could be. Thanks and get back to me, I will watch for a reply since the notifications don't seem to be alerting me.
Believe he's referring to Companions Command and Control, I use it too, and HAVE used it with your installation guide. probably another case of the glue and staples falling off, I of course have no idea what it would be technically
This is a core function enhancement for the overall game. It is non O/S or version dependent. It will not effect mod function as to their outlined additions to the game. It should mainly effect stability and performance and work with any additions without impeding their functions. NVSE functions would work as per it's normal function but with the addition of being set for additional memory usage by the 4gb patch to add to performance enhancement.
Yes it should be fine. The files work no matter what location the fallout folder location. Will work with the original and all game platforms, which all have different locations for the files. So the file location doesn't matter.
Really good mod. Now my game runs smoother and the loading screens are shorter. The only issue I had was with the bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles. This didn't fix the pale faces bug. But I think that happened because I use FCO.
But this problem was easy to fix. I just had to put the bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1 in its original place in the ini files.
Thanks, glad you got that issue sorted. I'll have to double check that one, originally I had 2 entries for that line and removed one, guess I removed the wrong one.
I just wanted to pop in here and say that so far, I'm running with just this via Epic Games and it's had an improvement. General smoothness, but more importantly, the one time it did crash it actually returned me to desktop instead of hard locking the entire system and forcing me to restart. Seems to also boot up faster. From what I've heard a lot of mods don't seem to work with Epic, so I felt it relevant to put up here.
This mod is great. I'm throwing together a huge modlist and I kept running into memory problems because of the ridicoulous amount of NPCs populating my world now but with this I can extend the time it takes to run out of memory from 30-45min to like 4 hours but unfortunately theres only so much that can be done when like 90 of my mods add in a bunch of new NPCs
Did you add cleanmem, you can set the time on it to flush the memory for the game so it won't reach that limit. https://youtu.be/TskSHJs9riI Download links on the video, watch to the end for setting taskmanager to run when the games listed run.
If you are using fnv4gb, you don't patch it with the 4gb patcher. Doing so on steam will create a launch error, fnv4gb bypasses that.
GoG version already has the 4gb enabled, so it needs neither. Both cases you just need the ini updates. Use the 4gb patcher on the script extender only, if using it.
I have Windows 11 but I want to start a new FONV playthrough...so I figure I should install this still right? I'm going to go for it, so wish me luck. But please still reply to me (anyone) if I should NOT be using this because I have Windows 11.

- Download/Extract/Install the newest NVSE
- Download/Extract/Install the 4gb patcher and run the .exe
- Download/Extract/Replace the Fallout.ini in both folders, and MO2

edit: nevermind just needed to edit the line for savegames
It runs off it's own ini so you have to replace that one in order for this to work.
