About the mod:
I'm finally doing it! I'm finally releasing one of my infamous guard add-on mods for Morrowind! And it's not the first one I expected to release. This one is for for Tamriel Rebuilt, not the vanilla game. Now, what does it do, you may ask?
Good question! A summary of what this mod does:
- Adds in many new guard spawns throughout the mainland. These guard spawns are done so via leveled creatures for some randomization, variety, more reliable respawning and more. While the respawn flag "works", it's not hard to mess up and break if you know what you're doing. And normal NPC placements do not allow for as much randomization and variety as leveled creatures. Leveled creature spawns will also reset over time, allowing for displaced or weakened guards to be, well, reset. And despite the "leveled" part of "leveled creatures" these guards are not leveled and will all be able to spawn at level 1. It's just the functionality I use.
- Simple male and female guard variety. Pretty much every guard spawn allows for male and female spawns, allowing for some variety. Male or female NPC records have been created if they did not exist to fill the lists. Otherwise, it uses normal TR/PT guard records to fill the lists. This allows for the added guard spawns using vanilla TR/PT records to remain compatible with changes to them in future updates.
- Comprehensive coverage of all areas pre-Grasping Fortune. All areas added before the Grasping Fortune update are covered, including some places that did not have guard spawns before. While this mod works with Grasping Fortune (and indeed, it expects it), it does not currently cover Grasping Fortune added areas yet. This will be addressed in the future.
- As mentioned before, guard spawns have been added to some places where guards did not spawn, where I thought it made sense.
- And more.
More caveats and details can be found in the compatibility section. At any rate, I hope you enjoy your more lively and guarded mainland. :)

Requirements:
Morrowind.esm, Tribunal.esm, and Bloodmoon.esm along with Tamriel_Data and Tamriel Rebuilt are all required.
Installation/Playing the Mod:
Download the mod, put the .esp in your Data Files folder, and then activate the .esp in the mod organizer of your choice. Then launch the game. It's really simple and no different from playing many other mods.
Uninstallation:
Either delete the mod's .esp or deactivate it in your preferred mod organizer. It's quite the same as uninstalling many other mods.
Compatibility:
This mod should be more or less compatible with most TR mods, I'd think. It only adds in more spawns and does not change any vanilla records. Any new records are custom. There's the possibility of a TR update changing the maps radically and forcing some of the spawns to be moved, but for now it should be fine. Most of the used guard NPC records in the mod are using vanilla TR/PT ones, so if there's data changes to them, they should be compatible with new updates to said master files. That being said, the new records I've added might have to be updated if there's radical data changes to the master files.
Also, I know I said this mod is compatible with Grasping Fortune yet doesn't effect places added by that update. There's a reason for that. Thing is, I did most of the work on the mod months ago before Grasping Fortune came out. At the time, it was comprehensive. Now it's not. The Modathon was the perfect opportunity to release the mod, I felt, so I did some work to make it work with the latest update mostly as is. I have not yet played enough of the new update to feel comfortable adding in new guards to most of the new places Grasping Fortunes has added, hence their current exclusion. I hope to address that as I learn more about the new places. So expect that some day.
This mod currently only does simple/male female guard variation currently to keeps simple. TR and PT development is still very much active and is too "volatile" for me to feel comfortable going really indepth with the variation. I want things to be easy to update and not a pain to bring up to evolving standards, so yeah. Same old, same old. My guard add-on mod for vanilla Morrowind and its expansions is not this simple and has more variation in it. Though the fact that the vanilla game is over twenty years out of active development... well... it's very stable to mod for. That mod is not out and can be found here.
Do note that the addition of more NPCs may take off quite a few frames, especially in heavily populated areas like Old Ebonheart. So keep that in mind.
The mod is currently released with no optional modules. All add-ons are provided in one. I may take requests for sub-modules. Or else, you may make your own version(s) for personal use and/or public release. I have very open mod permissions: just give me and those I've credited, well, credit.
