What this mod does:
- Introduces four new playable nightmare sequences which aim to increase player immersion throughout the Main Quest.
You had a disturbing dream. You can only recall one part. A tall figure with a golden mask led you among the dead as through a wedding celebration. You heard many voices, but no lips moved. You strained to breathe, but your chest didn't move. The tall figure spoke with each figure as he passed among them, laughing and joking, as if they were alive, but they made no reply. You tried to cry out, but without breath, your tongue fluttered in vain.

Dream 2:

Dream 3:
You dreamed that a tall figure with a golden mask spoke to you, but you understood not a word. He smiled, and seemed pleasant, but when he reached to touch you, it terrified you, and you tried to escape, but you couldn't move. You tried to cry out, but you couldn't make a sound. The figure kept smiling and talking, but you felt sure he was trying to cast some sort of spell on you. When you woke, you couldn't recall how the dream ended.

Dream 4:
In your dreams, a tall figure in a golden mask spoke to you: Lord Nerevar Indoril, Hai Resdaynia! Long forgotten, forged anew! Three belied you, three betrayed you! One you betrayed was three times true! Lord Voryn Dagoth, Dagoth Ur! Steadfast liegeman, faithful friend, bids you come and climb Red Mountain! Beneath Red Mountain, once again, break your bonds, shed cursed skin, and purge the n'wah from Morrowind!

What this mod doesn't do:
- Edit the staging or order of the Main Quest. It merely interludes where you would normally see the popup text boxes with the four sequences. (You still get to read the textboxes when you wake up)
Compatibility:
- Currently only works with OpenMW.
- If anyone would like to offer their MWSE services in order to get this mod compatible with both engines, then please get in touch! :)
- Technically compatible with Disturbing Dreams - despite the similar names they both do different (and complimentary) things. However, Disturbing Dreams is MWSE only, so whilst Lucid Disturbing Dreams remains an OpenMW exclusive, the mutual compatibility is moot. I'll update this section if and when LDD becomes MWSE compatible too!
- Partially compatible with Divine Dagoths - The Dagoths placed in this mod will use whatever texture/meshes you're using. However there is one notable exception in one of the four dreams. You'll know it when you see it!
- Compatible with Main Quest Revised, Main Quest Improvements, Main Quest Enhancers, Main Quest Overhaul
Recommended mods:
Known issues:
- Dream 2's corpse animation loops continually.
- The voice clips for Dreams 3 and 4 are not playing correctly. I believe this is to do with the length of the clips. Scripting around these sequences still functions, and this will be resolved in the next update - fixed in 0.9.2!
- The Journal Stage for Dream 2 occasionally does not trigger correctly after the player activates the corpse. If you get stuck, enter "journal "a1_dreams" 5" into the console and you will be teleported back to the waking world. Will resolve in the next update - fixed in 0.9.2!
Future Plans:
- Additional custom voice lines for NPCs
- New ambient sound effects
- Further scripting and spooky extras addons
- Overwrite vanilla music with unique tracks
- Additional fine tuning and extras
