    This gets the prize for this week as being the mod  that gave the most fun. I love it! I was under attack from cliff racers most of the time but it was very easy to shoot arrows at them from a boat. I have a companion dog (Cory) and he was forever jumping into the water to attack anything that swam by but he'd soon catch up. I eventually moored it at Hla Oad but am about to add the purchasable version so that I can populate more of the coastal regions with boats. I feared I'd be as dreadful steering a boat as I am riding horses (in Skyrim) but it turns out that I'm a natural gondolier. Thank you!

    It is a wonderful mod!

      Glad you enjoy it! Thank you for your feedback. If you are using OpenMW, Repopulated Waters has the controllable gondolas from this mod, plus NPCs who also use them.

      I'm enjoying it immensely. I had a boat mod in Skyrim but it never worked as well as this one does. I'm seriously impressed with this. Thanks for the suggestion too. I'd like to see other boat users! I came across this because superliuk (who built the Cory dog mod) put up an image containing the gondola and had a link here. Otherwise I don't think I'd have ever found it. I was amazed it didn't require a whole morning's worth of downloading to get it working.

    Thank you author for something that works out of the box in VR! It is very soothing to float along.

    (This is a tricky question but by any chance do you know of a way I can decouple steering from the camera view?   This is so I can look around and sight see without whipping the boat around constantly. I scratched my head over your script but I'm not familiar with Morrowind modding, just coding in general.  I'm guessing I have to set camera angle based on different key controls.  Any hints greatly appreciated.)

      Thank you for your feedback! Currently in OpenMW VR, there is no distinction between head and body rotation. I've reached out to a few OpenMW devs and they are looking into it.

      Thank you so much for looking into this. I thought maybe an interim solution I can add something to drop anchor and during that time the boat would remain at the last position. But still, it's fantastic to be able to be on the water.

    Interesting try for something that sorely lacking in Morrowind. Sadly without inertia (slow turning, going on its course...), it still look like nothing but a pant of waterwalking

    There is a similar mod: Morrowind Boats, but it seems that "Your Own Gondola" script is simpler and more elegant.

    I think it should be better to forbid running with gondola, and replace all SetWaterWalking 1/0 by ModWaterWalking 1/-1.

    Another comment: if you can add a solid base in the center of the gondola, it will be great (to prevent the PC to fall through).
    Last personal preferences: rename "Your gondola" in "Gondola", and place it in a more hidden place. £:^)

      -Mod water walking is a good idea, I'll change to that in the next update.
      -I'd rather let people run in the gondola with a warning that it might not be a good idea.
      -I will update the gondola mesh. It appears that one cannot collide with it in Vanilla, anyway, but I can at least make it solid for OpenMW users.
      -Sensible rename, I'll make the change.
      -I will look into creating an optional version with a short quest to obtain it.
      -I will add an optional version to stop the water walking sounds.

    Thanks, GrumblingVomit, this is very cool! (Although I quickly learned to walk, not run, while piloting the gondola!)

    Also, I'm happy to report that its placement isn't affected by the adjustments made to Seyda Neen by either BCoM or Shipyards of Vvardenfell.

    I always found it odd that we were just expected to swim places in morrowind. Thank you!
