About this mod
Heleran Tomb under Nedhelas House in Caldera was very poor-looking. Here's an improved vanilla+ version.
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
- Changelogs
Thus, I was inspired to make this vanilla+ replacer. The mod includes:
- New pieces of furniture and clutter (vanilla assets).
- All objects are now of a proper scale.
- Random containers with Imperial clutter are replaced with dedicated containers with unique clutter fitting the background of the place.
- I tried to keep the place a low-level dungeon in terms of loot.
- The remains of the dead have proper altars and an ashpit, and there are offerings now in front of them.
- New chests are closed and there's a new key hidden in the dungeon.
- The boss chest has properly unique loot, fitting the fighter character (a sergeant of the Imperial Cult).
- A column with burial urns is placed in the middle of the large chamber to break its emptyness.
- Cobweb, mist, and lichen were added for atmosphere.
- A unique note added that mentions the name of the ghost and the tomb (a proper in-game way for the player character to find out this name).
- An old skeleton of a tomb raider with low-level gear added - a victim of the tomb's guardians.
- The ghost now has ectoplasm on it and a small enchanted ring to reward the player.
- Com trapdoor is swapped for velothi trap door.
- Nedhelas's house received a minor update - mostly bugfixes (floaters, bleeders, and improperly scaled miscs).
- Pathgrid in both interiors is pruned and updated.
Version 1.2 update:
- Thanks to Lucevar's playtest, a small gap between the dungeon tiles was found and fixed.
- Reduced current health value of all equipment pieces in the dungeon to reflect that they're old weapon and armor pieces that saw decay.
- Added a small Restore Health potion behind a potion chest to help the player in the fights.
- Adjusted the doors and the doorjambs by lifting them up a bit so the base of the doors won't be buried in the floor.
- Noticed that all rescaled clutter restored its vanilla scale again. Thankfully, Evil Eye suggested that this is a usual bug of the CS and setting a scale other than 1.0 should help. So, I set the objects to 1.01 and it worked.
- Did some other minor placement fixes.
Version 1.3 update:
- A small dialogue quest added. It involves finding the supposed descendant of the Heleran family. Upon picking the Old Piece of Parchment, you'll have a journal prompt and a new topic that should lead you to the person. If lost, try asking in any chapter of the Mages Guild. Having a couple of important items from the tomb with you might yield you a bigger reward.
- The Imperial Cult questline is not necessary to find and complete this side-quest.
- The quest version of the mod is a separate download (in case you'll just want the interior update and nothing else).
- Thank you to FlinSunset for proofreading the texts and providing help with scripts.
Possible ideas for future versions:
- Add a way to talk to the ghost and settle the Imperial Cult quest peacefully.
- Add an alternative version of the esp that gives dialogue to Vela Heleran, a mainland Telvanni mage added by Tamriel Rebuilt. Another role-play connection with the mainland.
