Morrowind Mod of the Day EP350 - Devilish Vampire Overhaul Showcase
Vampires, the blood suckers of Tamriel, creations of Molag Bal made to mock Arkay, God of Death. But alas, in vanilla Morrowind, playing as a vampire is a truly miserable experience, locking you out of most of the game's content. Or at least it did, for today's Mod of the Day is Devilish Vampire Overhaul by DetailDevil, an overhaul of the game's vampire mechanics, introducing new forms of blood drinking and vampire hunger stages.
Now you can drink the blood of your victims, instead of just casting absorb health, and doing so has a number of benefits, restoring your health, giving you a modicum of protection against the sun, and allowing you to go undetected as a vampire, so you can still interact and talk to NPCs.
On the flip side, if you go for more than 24 hours without blood, NPCs will start to notice your vampire attributes, and you'll need to wear a closed helm in order to interact with them.
Over time, should you avoid drinking blood, you'll eventually grow more powerful, gaining strength and speed, but at the expense of personality and agility, making you a formidable foe in combat, but rather inept at conversation.
A simple and easy to follow overhaul for Morrowind's vampire gameplay mechanics, Devilish Vampire Overhaul comes with both MWSE and OpenMW support, so if you're planning to play as a vampire, this is an excellent mod to check out!
