makes you wonder what bethesda was thinking with the deeply unintuitive original design

i noticed a door for the new stairs in the foreign canton plaza somewhat obstructed by crates; i don't believe it's a mod conflict on my end
    (but i'll have to check)

This was SO confusing to me as a new player. Probably not going to use it, since I have a lot of waistworks edits, but definitely going to endorse and manually add it to the game myself.

    Possible issues:

    - The floor is missing in the Telvanni canton plaza. All the NPCs are floating below, along with a door or two, and some Velothi Wall Art.
    - Lots of Velothi Wall Art is also popping off buildings in the canton plazas. Did you move any of the buildings?
    - This may be causing incompatibility/ clipping issues with Vivec Waistworks Expansion

One shop was moved backwards in Foreign Quarters Plaza. That's all.
      - This may be causing incompatibility/ clipping issues with Vivec Waistworks Expansion
Every Vivec expansion needs a patch.

Indeed! Does anyone know if there's a patch for BCoM anywhere? Regardless, \o/ for an excellent mod, MarkKMarcell.

I could cry. No more jumping around like an idiot, I can use the stairs like a civilized n'wah.

    Thank you for this godsend.

Great mod! With my "Vivec Underworks, it's possible to travel indoors anywhere except the Palace Canton and the Ministry of Truth.

"Nemon's Vivec Interiorator" enlarges the SE building in the FQ Plaza. I can work on a patch, if you'd like.

I don't use Nemon's mod, but you can make a patch or a fork if you wish to.

Connected canalworks? "Vivec Underworks" by Bruno13069 (me).
Sub-sewer linking everything from the Foreign Quarter to the High Fane. No access to the Palace.

i've been playing Morrowind on and off since 2002 and logged thousands of hours in game. i took an extended break between 2006 to about 2013 and experienced my first taste of the "Mandela Effect" when i eventually came back to the game. Considering how often i've wandered the Cantons of Vivec, it blew my friggin' mind when i couldn't find my way to the top. i could SWEAR that every staircase in Vivec progressed upwards counter-clockwise just like this mod!! it drove me completely crazy because "WTF are there 4 staircases in every waistworks AND THEY ALL GO DOWN!?!?" i specifically remember ascending upwards stairs in a counter-clockwise fashion and popping out topside in every canton. When i finally found my way to the plaza up top, i was likewise dumbfounded. "WTF are the doors for the stairs!?!?" i had a full-blown screaming-fit meltdown, not just because getting lost with low speed and athletics was frustrating, but because the vanilla stairs as the are and a lack of central interior stairs to the plaza is...incredibly obtuse.

    it drove me to insanity.

it's possible i was using a mod that "fixed" the stairs but i doubt it, since at the time i was using the same CD-R loadout of mods i've been collecting since the very beginning.

Maybe it was you-from-the-future who came back to 2002 with a CD including my mod and put it on the table near the monitor, when you-from-the-past was asleep? :-)
