I made it this way intentionally but I understand why you may find that annoying. I wanted to provide an easy way of changing the option for people who wouldn't read how to do the console command.
This is a great mod, but it actually kind of breaks the game at the end. When you're in akulakhan's chamber you can't teleport out so if you die you just keep resurrecting inside the chamber, essentially you can't die, or lose. :D
Essential mod, it's great, only one thing: why is the lost soul gem model blue and badly textured (looks like the one shown in the video and is pretty badly shaded, probably the normals of the mesh are too coarse), the yellow version you have in your screenshots looks 10 times better, how do I get that version?
Another minor thing, why is gold capitalized in the text that gives the four options, I think there should be a space after the comma and gold should not be capitalized.
You're right on the grammar. It's been a long time since I made this mod/used blender but it's something to do with the way I set up the texture/colour on the model. It looks different in different situations/lighting I think. Just happened to look that way in that city in the video. I think it has an animation built in with the colours they're meant to change gradually over time but not visible in all lighting conditions.
I love the concept of this mod. Regarding how the options show every time you load - this should definitely be an openmw scripts option. Don't worry about people who don't read, as you mentioned in your other comment. Most openmw players are using other mods that utilize the scripts options, and it is the most logical place to put this kind of setting for your mod. I hope you consider making a version like this. Cheers!
One of the best mods! Is there a way in the CS to edit this so that your bounty does not go to zero upon death, and also so it plays the death sound music when you die? It doesn't play "MW_Death" when you die.
It would be possible to open the CS and change the script to do those things yeah. I made it so it resets the bounty on purpose because I didn't want you to get killed by guards on way to your corpse. You would just need to open the script in the CS and remove the payfine and payfinethief parts. Removing the payfine one would stop the stolen items being removed on death option from functioning correctly though. I recommend the below discord for anyone interested in getting in to modding:

They're a very helpful group. They're event doing a kind of mentor/make your first mod event thing at the moment. Danaeplays on youtube has lot of good videos too. Morrowind Scripting for dummies is a good resource for mwscript.
I feel very elated to know I'm not alone in wanting TES games to play more like Dark Souls, extremely excellent mod, I will endorse it in when the endorse timer lets me.

Would be nice if you only have to do this once.

Thanks again.

Are you still having this option? Did you remove it in the load order/openmw.cfg? What is happening still exactly with the mod disabled?
