You mean it explodes too frequently or not enough frequently? If it is too frequently the duration of the spell can be increased easily, there is already a slider for it, but I don't think it should be less that 2/3 seconds else the spell animation/sound can't work well and it would overlap. Default is currently 4 seconds [EDIT] If you mean it should be only fire damage effect without explosion, I'm not sure I'd like it, also hard to tell if some atronach is getting damage from a distance without explosion
I mean that it reads too much like the lava is casting a spell at the player rather than they’re getting burned by walking into it. I like the gameplay of the mod. Just not the visuals and audio. Maybe overriding the spell cast sound would be enough to counter the “gamey-ness” of it.
Uhm, I don't like the idea to just stop/replace sounds on the fly if they are not unique/could be used by some other mod to detect combat etc. and to make things better changing the magic effect/sounds/visuals would probably require to use the Operator Jack magic framework and probably make new sounds/effects resources etc. anyway, not something I know how to do/feel like trying at the moment.
