|Features| This mod replaces Tarhiel's journal with something that actually resembles a journal. While I have a fondness for the large books of Morrowind, I don't think Tarhiel has THAT many notes for his journal. The journal should now resemble a small leather-bound notebook with a closing flap, and quite smaller than the one he had before. It doesn't have any additional text or functionality, but it might make your uninspired piles of books a tiny bit less so. A word of caution: the texture used on the new journal is the leather bag texture for the pouches you see on the netch leather cuirass, and it's vanilla resolution is quite small. Unless you want the space where the journal is meant to be to be a vague brown blur, I recommend a texture upscaler mod like Intelligent Textures. In the screenshots, I'm using ver 3.0 of IT.
In case you're wondering, this mod is just a replacer for Tarhiel's journal, nothing more. This mod is just an excuse to implement a journal model I made a while ago and wanted to use, so. I might consider replacing all the journals in the game with this model, but I might save that for another mod.
And hey! This mod has automatic Switchable Scriptures compatibility! Use whatever hotkey you have bound to open or close books and you can open and close this journal to your heart's content! That functionality will require MWSE, but the mod should still work with OpenMW if you're okay with having an eternally open journal.
|Compatibility| This mod edits the square meter that Tarhiel falls into in the Bitter Coast. Unless you have a mod that edits the journal or fall location, it should be good with everything.
|Credits and Permissions| Feel free to edit this mod as you like. I don't mind anyone editing and publishing the mod, just as long as it isn't a direct reupload of it. Go buck wild, use the journal model in a total conversion mod. Make me proud.
