I added the mod through Vortex, but it does not show up in the data files.. What can I do about this?

Don't be an asshole and answer his question? Or just don't at all? :)

I am NOT being an asshole. I answered his question. If people would take their time to read even just ONE guide for modding Morrowind (and there are so many out there I lost the count of them), they would learn that Vortex is the WORST possible mod manager to use with Elder Scrolls games (especially old ones like Morrowind and Oblivion). I see HUNDREDS of comments saying "this mod doesn't work/it's crap/etc." and of course most of them are from users using Vortex as a mod manager. My suggestion? Use Wrye Mash (where Mash stays for "Bash for Morrowind"), up-to-date and still maintained DEDICATED manager for Morrowind. Leave Vortex for modern and easier games.

I'm using Mod Organizer 2 and it works amazing with Morrowind.

me too, and all the tools can be run through it, including, Mlox, though the fix to use it is to create a short cut with the -n tag added to the end of the target line and add Mlox to MO using the shortcut instead of the actual exe file.

Vortex works just fine, IF THE MOD IS PROPERLY PACKAGED.

Unfortunately for Morrowind, a lot of the older mods are just randomly zipped up, because they were released back in the early 2000s and were meant to install manually because mod managers were just starting to be talked about.
I wrote an article on this with my experiment of using Vortex with Oblivion, and how I had to repackage a lot of the older Oblivion Mods to work in a mod manager.

Vortex is NOT the "Worst Possible Mod Manager to use with "Elder Scrolls Games", that's just nonsense.
It works fine with the newer games that had their mods properly packaged for a mod manager.
I have 381 active mods in Skyrim SE, that took me all of about 1 hour to install with Vortex.

The Problem with Old Games is the packaging of the mods.
For Oblivion and Morrowind, after doing my experiment with repackaging mods, I stuck with WryeMash and WryeBash, just to save myself the hassle of repackaging everything, especially when you run into BAIN packages, but I use Vortex for everything else, like FO3, Fallout New Vegas, Skyrim etc Bethesda Games
Mind you, you'll have to repackage a handful of FO3 and FONV mods that aren't packaged properly, but you're good to go with the newer games that have mods packaged they way they're supposed to be packaged.

Look, I anyway always repack my mods because (A) I am also just curious how the archive looks like, (B) I like sometimes to repackage the archives (for example I make it so that various addons for one mod have all readmes in  common folders as to have all docs tidy and ordered) plus is anyway necessary, and (C) I always optimize my textures with Ordenador. I use Wrye Mash while is much easier for me to use ONE app that does almost everything (mashed patch, repair saves, change/update masters, mlox support for load order, integrated cleaning esp with tes3cmd, I could go on saying....).
That said, Peoples of the Nexus, use whatever mod manager you want. I am happy with my numerous and varied mod list which never game me any major problem (after learning how to properly use various apps...).
      Have fun modding

Just, don't use Vortex. No one is reading that wall of text, HadToRegister. lol MO2 is all you need.

Don't read the wall of text then, just read the first line that HadToRegister typed.

This mod is packaged just fine for mod managers that support Morrowind. It's a zip file with a Data Files folder. Vortex has many issues with Morrowind, "fixing" the way it's packaged will not guarantee you won't have other issues.

How does this go about interacting with a mod such as Perfect Placement?

I'm guessing it would be impossible for the new item drop feature to work with hand placed items in the vanilla game?  Like when you take a book from a stack in a library?

THERE is a mod that lets you manipulate (i mean like rotating) dropped items, i bet it will have interesting interactions with this mod haha.
Sadly i no longer play morrowind.

Not sure if this is a bug...but for Timely Escape Timely Escape at Morrowind Nexus - mods and community (nexusmods.com) after you respawn at the shrine of azura your third person camera and crosshair stays affixed to the position you died in.  (Assuming you didn't die on a flat surface)  Far as I can tell there isnt any means to fix it short of reloading your last save.  Just figured I'd let you know in case anyone else was having the issue.

I'm confused, is this a bug that occurs with Just Drop It?

I think so.  It seems as if the orientation of my perspective when I died is my new perma orientation when I choose to revive.  However after further testing I can confirm this only happens if the player character dies on a slope, stairs or any other non flat surface.

Well this is going to be a must have in any respectable mod list.    Probably a lot of unrespectable ones too.
    Thanks
