*** Short Description ***

Adds conjurable greaves and pauldrons in the smoothest, most vanilla-like manner possible. Also fixes the Bound Gloves spell effect to re-equip gloves in addition to hand armor when the effect ends. The two new spells are sold by the travel agent "Masalinie Merian" in the lower level of the Balmora mages guild. You MUST enter the Balmora mages guild for the script that runs this mod to activate properly. For enchantments, the greaves have fortify endurance 10 pts and the two pauldrons have resist magicka 10% on one and resist normal weapons 10% on the other.

*** Requirements ***

Requires the Bloodmoon DLC and the Morrowind Script Extender (MWSE) v2 or higher.
This was made while using version 2 of MWSE so I assume it needs the same, but it may work with an older version. I tested and made this mod while using a Steam GOTY Morrowind, running the latest versions (at the time) of both the Morrowind Patch Project (MPP v1.6.6 beta) and the Morrowind Code Patch (MCP v2.4), I recommend using both of these, though they are not necessary. I also tested using the GOG GOTY edition, both with and without MPP and MCP, without issues.

Because of the dependency on the MWSE this will not work with OpenMW. For a version that will work please see my other Bound Armor Lite mod.

*** Compatibility ***

Somewhat obviously this mod should not be used with any other mod that adds bound greaves or pauldrons to the game. This mod uses the two unused spell effects added to the game with the Bloodmoon DLC. Specifically, I have used the magic effects "sEffectSummonCreature04" and "sEffectSummonCreature05" to create the two new spells, so any mods that use these magic effects should also not be used together with my mod. Just about all other mods should be compatible without issues including armor and clothing mods, but I cannot guarantee.

*** Installation ***

Copy the "Data Files" folder into your Morrowind's installation directory. It will merge with the existing folder.

*** Long Description and Notes ***

This mod is intended to complete the seemingly unfinished list of bound armor spells in Morrowind with the aim of being as vanilla-like, polished and immersive as possible in its implementation. Yes, there are a few other mods out there that add bound pauldrons and bound greaves but I found that none of them seem complete or they were workaround-ish and hacky (sorry, no offense to anyone who may have made such a mod).

In my mod the two missing bound armor pieces are added as individual spell effects and I have attempted to mimic Morrowind's vanilla bound items as much as possible. For example, when your bound spell wears off my mod will automatically re-equip your previously equipped armor, a feature that vanilla bound items exhibit but other bound item mods I've tried did not. I also stop the player from dropping the bound items, although it is harder to copy the mechanics perfectly the effect is ultimately achieved. I have also made custom icons for both of the spells and their magic effects, doing my best to make them match the original art style of the game. The only vanilla bound item feature I cannot reproduce is stopping the player from selling the bound items, as far as I have found it is simply not possible to mimic unsellable items in mods. The bound items are worth zero gold though so selling them is pretty pointless, and doing so will cause the bound items to be forced back into your inventory.

In addition to adding the two missing pieces of bound armor this mod also fixes bound gauntlets / gloves so that when the spell effect wears off the players previously equipped hand armor AND hand clothing is automatically re-equipped. In vanilla Morrowind the players gloves do not get re-equipped for them, which I found quite annoying. Please note that this fix is done entirely through scripting so the actual spell "Bound Gloves", its magic effect and other corresponding parts are not actually changed at all by this mod.

*** Usage ***

Feel free to use, alter and redistribute this mod as you like. I do prefer that my readme stays along with it, and that I am at least mentioned in some fashion wherever it may be redistributed.

* A Side Note *

Finally, I think it might be worth noting that this mod was created using my own custom-patched version of the program Morrowind Edit (MWEDIT). Long story short, there is a bug in MWEDIT that prevents you from compiling scripts that use Bloodmoons unused magic effects. Since MWEDIT has to be used to compile scripts that use MWSE functions I downloaded the MWEDIT source and found out how to fix the magic effects bug, plus fixed another minor bug in MWEDIT and then made this mod with the resulting MWEDIT program.

Please report any problems or bugs on the comments / posts section here at Morrowind Nexus. You can also contact me here. I've done my best to produce a clean and completed mod for my favorite game of all time, however it is my first Morrowind mod so I hope that you are patient with me and helpful about any bugs or problems that may occur. ^_^ Enjoy!
